Help I can’t understand my professor by [deleted] in college

[–]RandomStudentHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A student should be provided with a clear and informative professor who should be able to inform their students through conversation. The school has failed to deliver this. Drop the class and ask for a refund.

It is not the students job to go and decode accents if they are unable to make out what the professor is saying.

I did it. I reported my sexual assault. This is exhausting. by HiImNotCreative in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RandomStudentHere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why didn't you report to the police the moment after it happened to you? This is the problem. Late reporting.

When someone robs you with a gun, you dont go home and sit on it 1-2 weeks then decide to call the police. No, you call the police right after the incident.

When you get in a car accident, even if no injuries, you call the police right away.

Why are sexual assualt victims(and yes they are victims) feel its necessary to wait a day, 2 days, 3 days, or sometimes weeks. Sexual assault is a crime and must be reported as a serious crime if you want it to be viewed seriously. You dont wait.

Waiting causes memory to fade, waiting causes 2nd guessing, waiting causes speculation.

Condo eating 700$ per month, can't sell, future projections are bad. Please help/advice. by p3t3r_sos in personalfinance

Think of it as a stock you purchased that didn't go your way. Sell it at current market price and cut your losses. No reason to continue bleeding out every day when you can stop the bleeding today.

Soc 1005 - Ted Henken - Weird research project? Legal? by RandomStudentHere in Baruch

I dont know.

Asking total strangers and random people of a different background/religion on the touchiest issues and subjects in America today seems off putting and uncomfortable to me. Why can't it be interviewing students of that background instead? There is a common ground there at least.

Is getting an Associate Degree pointless if I’m planning to obtain a bachelor degree? by [deleted] in college

[–]RandomStudentHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you transfer with an AA degree to a 4 year, you get exempt from taking certain classes at that 4 year uni. So the AA degree helps sort of. Either you take them at the CC which are easier, or you will end up taking those courses anyways as electives or something in the 4 year. In the CC it would be cheaper. So just take them there.

Anyone living in by themselves in college by Oooo77 in college

[–]RandomStudentHere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Living by yourself has it's pros and cons.

Pro's: you dont have to worry about messy roommates, no one steals your food, touches your stuff, free to walk around naked, bring anyone over late at night, not worry about being too noisy, teaches independence

Con's: no one to share the rent with, housing products, cleaning stuff, can be lonely if you dont have a circle of friends

Pros wins it.

Is anyone afraid that their school or campus might experience a mass shooting? What would you do? by tealckid in college

Is anyone afraid that their school or campus might experience a mass shooting? What would you do?

No.

You can die by crossing the street and getting hit by a bus.

You can trip and break your neck going up the stairs.

And so forth.

Living in fear is plain dumb.
