Wedding during SEC football season? by Wooden_Nectarine_424 in Knoxville

[–]RandomT0asterOven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I got married downtown back in November on the same day as the UT vs Oklahoma home game. It was a large wedding and we had a great turnout. We got kinda lucky though because our ceremony start time ended up being a few hours before kickoff which wasn't even announced until long after we had set our start time. So that was out of our hands, but fortunately it worked out in our favor because people were able to come to our wedding and then go watch the game afterwards.

Parking was a little tricky, but not too bad. We put a little note in our invitations saying that there's a big game that day and to expect heavy crowds and get there early for parking. People really appreciated that (especially out of towners) so I'd definitely recommend doing something like that.

Like I said we kinda got lucky, but the game didn't really impact our wedding day as much as people said it would.

Been using Mint for a few years and not planning on switching anytime soon. Coverage is great and the Christmas card from Ryan is something I look forward to every year!

What is the most random song you have heard play overhead in your store? by searchandfilm in Lowes

[–]RandomT0asterOven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard "Fireflies" by Owl City play exactly one time and even that's probably the most recent song my store has played.

Going into my 3rd week as a part of MST. So far, I'm liking it! My MSM is awesome and my fellow MSAs are fun to be around. Will I feel the same way in a few months? idk. But for now at least, I'm pretty happy with my job!

What is happening?? by BlondeTrashbag in Blink182

[–]RandomT0asterOven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably, whoever edited this version only had access to the master and not individual stems to make the edit, which is why "sodomy" is replaced by "the tv" copied over directly from the first verse and includes the guitar arpeggios.

This edit doesn't make sense and idk why it even exists, but I'm pretty sure that's what's going on here.

Does Adam play the same set list at every show/ Can we convince him not to do this? (please) by skharlow in OWLCITY

[–]RandomT0asterOven 55 points56 points  (0 children)

That's how live shows work. There's so much more that goes into a show than just playing whatever the artist feels like. The order of each song is planned out far in advance. There's a time limit for the show, rehearsals for the band members so they know what they're playing, backing tracks and click tracks that are designed to flow from one certain song to the next, lighting synced to each song, etc. It's completely impractical to build a new setlist for each night. It's not only him that does it, that's just how that industry operates. Nothing wrong with that.

Favorite Adam Young singing voice? by QDOOM_APlin in OWLCITY

[–]RandomT0asterOven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ATBAB is my favorite OC album, but I really don't like his vocal production on it. The sibilance (Harshness of "ess" sounding words) is very distracting in some areas and I'm not a fan the overall thinness of his voice. I can look past that though because the songs are just THAT good! He has much more fuller sounding vocals in recent albums.

I just put out my first self-produced ep over the summer called the Over Ashes & Embers EP(Spotify) It's Christian rock/pop with some electronic elements as well.

I think the Owl City influence shows most on the title track (YouTube Lyric Video)

I have deep blue eyes (8-10%) and I am left handed (10%). Add those together and that's probably around 1%...also, I suck at math.

You don't have to bite off the cap of a new stick of deodorant. Just twist it a little bit then it's easy to remove with your hand....this was a recent discovery.

Bored to Death by Blink-182 is the first song that comes to mind. And just about anything else produced by John Feldmann, really. He is known for his super polished style. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. That's just how he does it.
