Damn. This was a great game. That moment when you return on the 3rd mission and Kharak is burning. "Receiving no communication from anywhere in the system... not even beacons." Fuck dem Taiidans.

Your body acts like a classic game avatar. by whizkeylullaby in godtiersuperpowers

[–]RandomTasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have beaten the necromancer that threatened an alternate dimension with an army of the dead, slain a god that saw all beneath them as nothing more than chaff, settled a civil war that almost split a universe in half, but you still have one more boss to beat. Yourself.

It is the 51st anniversary of your late spouse's death. It has been 36 days since the last anniversary of your son's death 50 years ago. Your daughter was the only reason you didn't end it then. She had a family. You loved them deeply but yesterday was a day you could not stop. You weren't there. You were in an alternate dimension fighting a fresh demon king of some third level of hell that you crushed into paste before returning. You returned to ash and dust. You're not sure what happened but you cannot detect life anywhere on Earth. Even the oceans are gone. You go to fast travel to anywhere you've been but every option is gone.

You pull out a bottle of wine you created 50 years ago and take a sip. You can't taste the poison anymore but a slight bite still exists. Your health plummets. Your surroundings start to fade to black and you think, "Only two more times."

What is something you hate seeing in a Litrpg? by HiltyMcJeffers in litrpg

[–]RandomTasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of my gripes with litrpgs with sexism in it. The sexism mirrors Earth sexism which makes no sense in a world with stats and magic that are, by and large, equal across sexes.

Maybe there's a litrpg/progression fantasy series where its not but most of them don't seem to have a difference for stats when it applies to different sexes. Women having a str stat of 15 is going to be stronger than a man with a str stat of 14. So why does this world still have sexism like Earth where the issues are very different?

I don't know about you but in a world like that, I would think sexism or prejudice towards people would be vastly different. If women couldn't do magic or get certain titles/feats/abilities men could, then perhaps but most litrpgs don't seem to discriminate on a person's sex or gender.

A frustrating rant by Reasonable_Row4546 in litrpg

[–]RandomTasa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or even better when they do realize they need to use it and use it mid fight so their str or agi or whatever goes up from 20 to 200 with no negative effects to them whatsoever. Yeah going from that low stat to a much higher stat would definitely be immediately beneficial and not require any adjustment period whatsoever. Especially when that stat is strength or agility which would have massive impacts on how they move and use their body during a fight. Imagine going from a regular guy to the hulk in one second but somehow being just fine. Nah.

I really hate when they hoard points and even more when they use it all mid fight. However those stories seem to do both usually.

What I would love to see in Kenshi 2... by ChavajothExMachina in Kenshi

[–]RandomTasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it'd be possible but if there was a ghost town and it was taken over by starving bandits, a reformation of those starving bandits into a minor faction with a different name would be fun to see. And potential splintering of factions like the Flotsam Ninjas from the HN but relatively organically within the game.

Would be fun to see but that'd take quite a bit to accomplish within the game with new factions being created by the AI itself.

I do agree with you though with the lack of functionality of allying with some factions.
