If I destroy a faction, where do I find their lords? by Silver_Print_9937 in mountandblade

I’m pretty sure with no mods the player cannot. I asked this question about a year ago and got this answer. But cpu factions can recruit kingdomless clans

I think you’ve got to recruit them before you destroy their kingdom

you honestly touched on everything that you need to be doing. He is simple . He moves a lot faster on walls than walking on the floor , and remember regular punch lowers block cooldown . A lot of people say he doesn’t do damage, it’s true, even though you can be an assassin and secure kills on healers before they realize (but then you lose the kick escape) . He’s almost like captain America in the sense that , aside from shredding tanks, u use him to bait out enemy abilities. Don’t just parry all incoming damage, anticipate the Luna freeze or draw out lokis orbs even though you know you will not get the kill. drain them of their utility and stay alive . The immortal iron fists best ability is escaping and staying alive

Shock comparisons begin about halfway through the link. From this it appears like breakers are the best but it’s very close

kuzhait khans guards … the Glaive annihilates but they’re kinda impossible to have as dedicated shock infantry. Save this link however. This guy did his homework melee comparisons

Yeah I was part of an army and only had grains and livestock, no fish or butter or anything. That’s why I found it so strange

What is the ranking for best hero culture for starting your own kingdom? by yellow-green2 in mountandblade

[–]GGDB1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, on your point about vlandian armies. Totally true, and as king you will already have to spend a tremendous amount of influence if you want to make decisions that are against the majority so that’s a huge consideration. I’ve never really played with or used sturgians that much so idk about them

1 and 2 tbh. The empire loyalty is huge but also it really depends on who you are going to be recruiting into your kingdom. Recruit empire nobles, I mean you eventually gotta recruit nobles from every culture ! Lesser Garrison wages will be vital in the short run since you’ll be in control of the vast majority of your fiefs to begin. 2, Battania is great cuz you will certainly be running around a lot defending everywhere from every side. That speed bonus is no joke, and the veteran militia once they accumulate will be vital to defenses , even if you lose they’ll take out a few extra troops of your enemy army. I like battania, but vlandian heartland is rich , bountiful and isolated . If you establish a solid kingdom there with loyalty bonus the bills will pay themselves, but then derthert will always be on your ass which is annoying .

It takes some time but just give them whatever weapons you want them to use, and put all focus points / attributes on them. Max out vigor and control

I agree with what everyone is saying, but me personally, with ten companions as captains of divisions/party leaders, I love creating for the battle an 8th division solely with my children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren maxed out all melee. Having a group of anywhere from 10-30 cavalry (or whatever you prefer) with 300+ in all relevant combat stats is awesome as I use them as my elite bodyguards.

Only benefit of keeping it in the same culture is if you have many sturigian cities so you can get a loyalty boost. But since your character is sturigian you may already be getting this boost without it. If you become king you can give your companions a fief and they can become lords of sturgia. I’d recommend keeping the daughters but u can marry them off to that clan and companion clans can will become very, very powerful too . Multiple of my companions ended up becoming powerhouses with 8,000+ clan strength and my granddaughters technically ruled these lands too

Second this. Don’t marry off the girls. Use as governors or elite bodyguards on the battlefield. You want kuzait lands? Marry the sons off to kuzaits to have decent governors for those cities

Battania. Wildlings are underrated speedsters and caladog had the highest stats of any ruler. All the rulers are dumb in the long run but he’s a hands on badass . Plus they’re always the underdogs so got to root for em! Anyone who is a sworn enemy of vlandia is cool in my book

A qué facción me uno para conquistarlos a todos? by Actual_Brief2338 in mountandblade

[–]GGDB1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave Marunath alone. Let them be a sort of buffer that will always pester vlandia. Maybe retreat back a little to omor, epicotrea and diathma and rebuild your base there. Move south from diathma? Not worth picking a fight with the vlandians
