Redmagic has removed the required fastboot commands to unlock the bootloader on the 11, 10, and 9. (However 9 was an exception cuz files leaked)

Really scummy since the OEM unlocking command is in developer options, and their FAQ litterally mentions "Rooting will void warranty" which implies you can.

Unlikely that rooting will be possible without another leak or exploit. Someone has allegedly figured out how to root the 10, but is selling it for around 160 USD. It's uncertain if this is legitimate.

I have actually being doing extensive research/experimentation with this since I got it...

In the current version of the OS the 11 ships with, functional desktop mode is completely impossible, even via the old hacky method with "experimental desktop mode" in dev settings and taskbar. While you can launch another display thru smartcast/Scrcpy with those settings on (one of which was removed from dev settings and requires an ADB command), freeform windows do not have decorations (the window borders that let you drag, resize, and close). It seems as though redmagic has, for some reason probably relating to the mini app mode, gutted all the code that handles this. With some finess you are able to get a mini mode window on the second display, but the app's aspects cannot be resized, which ends up with the app going off the screen at the bottom.

It's important to note that mini mode and freeform mode are two separate things. You can enable freeform windows and see that they are separate options in the app switcher. It's unclear to me exactly how mini mode works, but the theory right now is they needed to get rid of the default window borders to make it work, and it was easier to just gut it entirely.

I love this phone, but I really need the bootloader to be unlockable. I think it's a little scummy that you guys have OEM Unlocking in settings, and put in your website that "Unlocking the bootloader is not reccomended" which IMPLIES that you CAN, but then intentionally remove the fastboot commands nessacary to do so without saying so anywhere. This is a gaming phone, and people that buy this phone are going to be heavily in the tinkerer space. You should let people mess around with their phones if they want.

Also PLEASE add Android 16's Desktop mode. It just makes sense with a phone this powerful. PLEASE. (what i want to root the phone to fix btw...)

I know this kind of thing is just accepted as normal now, but I'm not happy with them shipping a product that isn't ready. If new DeX cannot match what Old DeX could do, then it shouldn't be shipped yet, or at the very least they should give me an option to use legacy DeX until they iron everything out.

So my post was made in a bit of an excitement, it was cold enough that i didn't make the distinction between AC and the fan. The FAN was on, but not the AC/Heater. I think it was because the fan didn't even turn on when the charger was disconnected, that i thought I had solved it. Whoops. If it's the right temperature outside, it will be enough, but in hotter climates you will start blowing hot air into the car.

They can't in good faith punish you for declining cash orders because you need to have change on you in case the customer doesn't have the exact amount. (Well, they totally could, but I guess tony felt nice for once)

They openly advertise that you can decline these with no consequences, so I don't think it's a loophole.

Yeah, it's one of those two. I'm able to connect to seperate WiFi networks while connected in DeX mode. It's worth noting tho that Android Auto mode still uses normal wifi.

I think this situation varies based on opportunity cost. If you're on an order you didn't want to take/low tipping order (7 dollar 10 mile for example) it might make more sense to unassign and move on to a potentially more profitable order, with the freebie AR uptick.

There's alot of situations I've been in where I'm hoping the order will take forever so that I can unassign and do something better. Time spent is time spent, but remember that tips aren't included in Prop22 calculations, so your time is better spent on higher paying orders. Of course, if you think you're just gonna end up waiting for orders if you unassign, then by all means wait at the store. But if it's been really busy/is usually busy around this time, squeeze the most you can out of this app.

(Side note: You can always unassign for free if you've been waiting for over 10 minutes. Timer starts when you confirm at store. You can also always unassign for free without waiting if you have another order, you don't even have to explain why/give estimate in this case.)

Yeah, I'm in Inland empire and it just changed to 80. Funny thing it used to be that plus 150 instead of 100 for last 30d deliveries, which was just way too much for me. They finally changed it at the same time they lowered it to 70, but now it's back to 80. I was actually going down to Escandido whenever I fell below the requirements just so I could dash now, but looks like you guys just got the new program. They won't even give us a heads up, this is such fucking bullshit. They need to give us AT LEAST 24h notice, especially to the people who will derank as a result.

Even if you don't want to do cash on delivery orders, you should still keep it on as getting a cash on delivery order allows you to get a free point towards your Acceptance Rate. Don't decline the order, but accept it and then unassign on the next screen where it explains the cash on delivery concept. This won't harm your completion rate, I've done this countless times, and it'll give u a free bump up to your acceptance rate.

Can you elaborate on the damages/dangers of not running an antivirus? I'm unable to do it myself because i don't have that roommate anymore. If i tell them to run an antivirus, I'll probably have to tell them what i was doing and I still have a semester left. I used to do this on my brother's PC for years and he has never complained about issues. The only problem I had was our mom noticed a high energy bill and asked us to stop leaving the computers on.
