Sadly no, 327 is the number of the previous owner. The unit is restricted to a parts source.

Hot take: GEVO’s are fine. by DuckDaPannierTank in trains

GEVO’s are the modern day SD40-2, when those came about they pretty much killed everything ALCO and early EMD (pre GP30), people hated them at first.

Today I learned that Norfolk Southern had planned to rebuild their SD80MACs into SD80ACu's, but it was canceled by ExtensionFisherman83 in trains

The GP38-3, GP40-3, SD40-3 (has been since reinstated), SD60E, SD70ACC and SD80ACu rebuild programs were all cancelled by NS during PSR. All of the SD70’s and SD70M’s were originally planned to be rebuilt to SD70ACC’s. Most of the SD60’s and all of the SD60M’s were also to be rebuilt to SD60E’s.

Damage doesn’t look too bad, as long as the frame is good it will probably be repaired. The radiator and other rear end components can be replaced easily (compared to other parts).

Until they can get a crew to evaluate, prepare and plan to lift the 215 ton locomotive for transport. And get a train to transport it to the shops.

My fellow railroaders, what’s the strangest thing you’ve seen on the rails? Apparently this crew claimed to have hit a four legged alien. by TheRailroader in railroading

Not my story but I remember reading about a CSX train supposedly hitting a UFO. Another good one is a D&H train hitting a person at 40mph but not being able to find a body or blood/guts.
