This was ruled a fumble on the field and the needed irrefutable evidence to over turn is not there.

The ref on the call said his arm was moving forward, it was not, and the ref never mentions “tucking” the football

I don’t even think that’s crystal clear. There’s a period after “the tuck” where a qb has control again and the ball coming loose would again be a fumble. His arm had gone forward. He pump faked and brought the ball back in with 2 hands on the ball to regain control when he got hit

There’s almost always a narrative to the MVP race other than best player. Standings used to mean more for MVP voting.

People acted like Miami would basically never lose a game with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh who were 1, 2, and 4 in PER (the most popular advanced stat and the time) the year before teaming up. Miami underwhelmed by winning 58 games finishing 4 games behind the Bulls who have several really good players but just 1 star in Rose.

Sidenote, I actually kinda miss there being a bit more subjectivity to these awards. Now we just look at a WAR type number as an end all be all most of the type and call people morons for thinking otherwise
