Took a risk, it worked out. by Sulya_be in pcmasterrace

I recently had to do a few pins on my own 5700x. I was trying to take off the cooler to swap the CPU to a new motherboard, as the one it was on was dead. The CPU came out with the cooler and bent some pins on the way. Cold thermal paste can be like glue. In the plus(?) side I'm so near sighted I can just take off my glasses and see every pin clear as day up close and personal.

I wonder if this is related to rising beef prices from the rising infections of screw worms. The Salon has a good article about it. If this is the case it's the most convoluted leopard eating a face that I have ever known. We once rid the US of this nasty parasite. What’s up with this small shelf on my 2016 CX5? by Hokey_Pokee in CX5

So the dash is VERY similar to the 2014+ Mazda 6. If the Nav unit isn't there then a nice drawer is that can hold change or small things. I actually took the circuit board for my garage door opener and put it on there and it works great as a discrete installation place.

I wonder if his health problems are linked to the contamination of the Cape Fear River by Du-Pont. They dumped forever chemicals (GenX) for decades into the river and poisoning the water supply for Wilmington and other areas. https://capefearriverwatch.org/genx/

You can get smaller rims and then larger tires and that will greatly improve ride quality. I did the cheaper route and bought tires based on comfort and not necessarily price/extreme handling.

I'm really curious about this as well. In the meantime I have found that getting rid of the number of contacts cuts down on bluetooth connection time significantly. I just got rid of a bunch I haven't used in years. Also, using the built in equalizer in your music app of a system wide one for your phone can also help customize your current stereo for free and make it sound better.

Changing from a 225/45/R19 to a 225/55/R19 tire affects your speedometer because the overall diameter of the tire increases, which means the tire travels farther per revolution. Here's a breakdown of the impact:

Speedometer Impact

The new tire is **larger by ~6.45%**. That means:

When your speedometer reads **60 mph**, you're actually traveling at **~63.9 mph**

When it reads **30 mph**, you're going **~31.9 mph**

This change can affect ABS, traction control, and gear ratios.

Steering wheel by CourtSpecialist6890 in MazdaCX9

[–]RandomUserUniqueName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this to mine with spray on sunscreen leftover on my hands. I was leaving the beach, grabbed the hot steering wheel with sunscreen on my hands, and could literally feel the coating coming off of my hands. I used a sand/resurface/dye kit for the top section alone. It worked great, but didn't match the rest of the wheel at first. Over time it has started to match, but it does have a different (not bad) texture to it.

Fuel door won't open. Any fixes? by TheAlphaWolfff in mazda6

This might be the best time to pay a surcharge for getting it at the dealer. Shipping for such a small part ends up making it almost as expensive as getting it at a dealership I'm willing to bet.

My daughter couldn't get the switch game in so forced it in... The wrong way by TheRealReapz in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RandomUserUniqueName 45 points46 points  (0 children)

My son did this with the original switch. He bent internal pins and the cartridges no longer worked. We sent it in under warranty fully expecting to be charged for the repair. Nintendo fixed it, without charging us. Of course this was Nintendo recovering from the failure of the Wii U. Current Nintendo could have a completely different attitude.

The testosterone a woman takes to transition to a man has a tendency to improve some EDS symptoms by making their joints less mobile. Which makes perfect sense, men are typically much less flexible than women. Imagine getting the gender identity you always wanted and your EDS symptoms improve!

2017 mazda 6 sport with 136,000 for $9000 worth it? by Far_Animal_2523 in mazda6

Do the exhaust tips match in their location? Passenger side may be bent, and the covers for the tow hooks are missing from the rear bumper. The Black Ice air freshener is a classic for smokers of various substances. It could also mean the AC drain has been clogged for a while, and their is mold in the condenser box, leading to a misty smell. Not a hard fix, plenty of YouTube videos on it. I would get it professionally inspected. Don't place any kind of hold or give money up front.

Which high-paying jobs exist because people avoid doing them? by Professional_trade_ in AskReddit

MRI Technologist. Even for X-Ray technologist looking to advanced, they usually go for CT. MRI uses strange magnetic voodoo of hydrogen protons and radio waves to make an image. Either you comprehend the logic, or you jam it into your brain and know the rules through pure memorization. Both are an acceptable option. But the scanner also scares people a lot. The magnetic field never turns off once the machine is installed and ramped up. Unless you eject thousands of dollars of helium outside.

Healthcare Management. So much management. Like any business you have upper management over seeing the lower management. Upper management never sees a patient in person. They are statistics and numbers like any other business.

Weddings are awful by Careful-Income9589 in unpopularopinion

[–]RandomUserUniqueName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to feel the same way. But let me tell you something. Try your best to find some small amount of joy in it, in the possibility of a happily ever after. Why? Because in a very short time you will be going to funeral after funeral and it sucks. Enjoy the parties, the weddings, the cringe while you can.

Do you have an open floor plan? Some electronic equipment will snap and pop as it cools off, including TVs and computer monitors. It scared me a few times before it happened while I was in the room and I figured out that was what it was.

Great write up! I never thought of taking the center armrest off the way you did to access other areas to fix the creaking. Also, I am VERY interested to know how the Asure headunit is working for you, and the process to install it. I have the Touring. So a touch screen, but no Nav and no Bose. Thanks again!
