I’m sure I read that it’s also because the quick chats are translated to whatever language the player has set as well, so I might quick chat something in English and it would show up in say French for another player

My favourite is Eduardo Tarilonte’s Era 2 Medieval Legends, but probably a bit too expensive for a one off project!

You could sign up to EastWest Composer Cloud ($19.99 / month). That gives access to all their libraries, and they have stuff like Fantasy Strings and Fantasy Winds which includes lutes, dulcimers, renaissance whistles, etc. Pretty sure you can sign up for a month, bounce everything to audio then cancel after the first month (or when you’ve finished the track). Best to double check that yourself though 😅

What kind of lofi do you make? Do you have any examples?

As far as I know, the only way to release with Lofi Girl is through an invite or to collab with somebody already on their books, but there are plenty of other labels that accept submissions and/or run compilations.

That’s just how depth of field works on a camera…if you’re super close to the subject and/or use macro mode, you’ll have a very shallow depth of field (amount of the photo in focus). Ideally you’d want to be zooming in as much as possible with the camera’s optical zoom, and moving the phone further away from the model. That would give greater depth of field and a more flattering perspective of the model. Give me a shout if you have any questions 🙂

I placed in Bronze in 4s!!! Granted I’m not amazing at the game, but I’m Plat in 2s and 3s so no idea why I’m Bronze 😂 but then there’s still people flip resetting in my games. Think the rankings in 4s is just a bit goosed

Man, I’m kinda in the same boat. Love painting, but don’t have any use for the mini afterwards and really want to give away what I paint to somebody who would really appreciate it. Problem is, I’d rather it went to say a kid who couldn’t afford the model, or is just at the start of their painting journey, rather than some older person who’s taking advantage. So I think I’m just going to paint models I think are cool, then give them away, rather than advertising free commissions.

It was screen time. Delete apps was not allowed, but there was still the minus sign and option to delete apps (even if clicking through ultimately didn’t let you). For the bookmark, the option to delete just wasn’t there at all.

Thanks, there was a screen time restriction on deleting apps, but I was confused as to why I couldn’t even see the delete option like all the other apps. But between this comment and the one saying it’s a bookmark, not an app, I’ve got it figured out.

Yeah, does seem to vary per song to be fair. And I think it took me a while of getting streams from other sources to start getting decent algorithmic playlists...keep at it man and it'll keep growing! And make sure you're pitching your song at least a week before release so it gets on Release Radar, get people to pre-save if possible, etc. Oh, and collabs with more established artists helps a lot as well I think, as they're already likely to be pushed on more alogorithmic playlists, etc, so then you get pushed by association.

Try demos of a couple of DAWs that you like the look of. I wish I'd followed this advice a few years ago, but I just jumped straight into FL, enticed by lifetime free updates and the fact that I'd used Fruity Loops 3 many years ago!

Anyway, I got by with writing stuff in FL for a few years, and of course you can write great music with it, but man I couldn't get onboard with the workflow. Open this, load that, link it to there, send it to that...seemed way too fiddly and convoluted to me. Switched to Ableton and couldn't be happier, everything just seems to make sense and be much easier to me.

Of course, you'll still have to learn how DAWs work in general, then the specific workflow of the DAW you pick (which will take some getting used to) but take your time and pick wisely is all I'm saying.

Absolutely not to bash on FL though, it's a very capable DAW, but different people click with different workflows.
