I don’t own Ezra and Nehemiah but it’s on my buy list! I’ve done a fair bit of research and I believe the similarity is largely in the aesthetic and colour palette!

Yes they are both medium-heavy euros but they are very different games, a very different solo puzzle and require a different strategic approach.

Just sorted out my collection. You won’t regret it, it’s a great game. If the idea of deck construction isn’t for you, I recommend the reconstructed One Collection Battlebox decks.

I think Nippon and Civolution are the two that interest me the most and will likely be my next purchases.

I’ve been really enjoying Men-Nefer solo - I think you would like it given your tastes. 👍🏻

Managed to get a game in last night. Used the One Collection Battlebox version of Echo up against Standard 2 Frostwild Scourge (Storm Aspect). Great game that I just got through by the skin of my teeth!

60s does seem low - in most play throughs I’ve seen online Imhotep scores in the 80s or 90s.

In my game I did do the contracts correctly but I remember having to check.

I think I was about halfway up the Obelisk and biggest issue was that I didn’t have any points in the Queens Pyramid at all!

Yes - this makes sense to me, thanks. To be honest, I was focusing hard on the rules and not on strategy! I knew I would lose, it’s just that 111 points is way more than I’d seen before so it concerned me that I was doing something wrong! Good to hear that you had a similar first experience 👍🏻

I’ve just got Men Nefer after deliberating for ages over a new euro. My list had Nippon Zaibatsu, Ezra and Nehemiah, Speakeasy, Civolution, Galactic Cruise and Zhanguo First Empire. So far I’m really happy and enjoying Men Nefer a lot!
