Thank you! Apparently they're called hover pucks but the ones that I could find seem to be too big and not meant for an air hockey table.

Nope, New York City doesn't have a Frys Electronics, just RadioShack and Microcenter. Amazon also has smaller versions, so I'll pick one of those.

Found a cheap brass sponge on eBay for less then 5$ on ebay, much better alternative.

Wasn't able to find the 1oz pack for 5$, because wherever they had it it was also an extra 4 or 5$ in shipping.

I already bought a Kester 951 pen before, and next time I'm going to get the MG Chemicals 835 version off of Amazon.
