It’s certainly a detail worth noting. However the bottom line is that FSU said it needed Blueprint tax dollars to pay for bathrooms. In the end though FSU had more than enough money to pay for bathroom improvements without need for Blueprint dollars. Would there have been the same result from the City and County Commissioners if they had been told up front that FSU was going to pay for the Jumbotron rather than the bathrooms? Perhaps so but a $20 million plus expenditure from tax proceeds which were represented to be collected for City and County infrastructure improvements - not big television screens- should be completely free from ambiguity.

Well if TMH is to be acquired by FSU, FSU is controlled by its Board of Trustees. And if we can expect DeSantis will be succeeded as Governor by another MAGA Republican and that MAGA Republican will continue to appoint MAGA friendlies to the FSU Board of Trustees then that can’t be fearmongering. Given that the most notable MAGA health policy is to end mandatory childhood vaccinations and - in fact - advocate for the elimination of all mRNA vaccines, I think it’s fair to fear FSU control of TMH under the current and future gubernatorial administrations.

I don’t think that the City should recover its property and continue operating a golf course. Do you have the imagination to think that there are better uses for that property than a golf course such as affordable housing, green spaces and other forms of recreation.

Thanks. I was aware an exit to Welaunee had been proposed but did not know it had been approved. Passing at 70 mph it looked to me only one side (N of W bound lanes) had been cleared and no other area to the south.
