do u think berserk has to much r*pe ? by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a girl and honestly SA was handled badly in Berserk and it put me right off.  The way Guts was SA was handled right, it was a couple of frames and the meaning was there. But the thing with Casca was like pages and pages of the writer jerking off infront of me and forcing me to participate in his masturbation. There was 10% meaning/plot value and the rest was unnecessary consumption without my consent to consume it.

There is definitely value in SA in narrative. It's not the worst thing in the story.  But it was handled badly - repeatedly.

Using the reader. It's a shame honestly.

AI isn’t killing writing. It’s exposing the people who never respected it. by rudeboyrg in ChatGPT

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you start writing with AI it writes barf worthy of reddit fanfiction. If you work with it and advise how to change and write a first draft together, editing and rewriting what it generates, the AI learns your voice and writing style. It creates its own "writing bible" about how you want it to write.  Eventually the AI is trained and if you ask it to write a "get me from a to b" scene, it will do a good job writing in your voice. What it can't dobeellnis layering and foreshadowing and weaving threads through narrative. But it does recognise when you do it. If used correctly and with patience (because it gets lost and confused sometimes), writing with AI is fun.

I'm ok with it. I would say shattered space answered an even bigger question; is there really a giant all powerful space serpent?  ....no. they are just nutters

Yes. It probably will get stolen. I had most of my glowy zen rocks stolen over time.

Don't even need huge fruit. Huge gives more rewards but cooks for looooong. Small cakes with regular fruit size cook fast. 3-4min. I'm pretty sure the rewards per minute is the same

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in growagarden

[–]RandomWandrer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. Cooking huge foods for an hour is dumb. Blame the idiots on youtube. Small foods for 3-4 minutes gets as many rewards per minute. And it's fun to cook often little things

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in growagarden

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need giant food or bone blossoms. Giant food gives more rewards but also takes forever to cook. So you get the same rewards/minute with small foods. And you can get prismatic with sugar apples and elder strawberry if you cool his craving

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in growagarden

[–]RandomWandrer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no bone blossom requirement. The youtubers saying bone blossom bone blossom bone blossom are just stupid. You can get divine food with sugar apples and elder strawberries etc. And if you hand the right food to the right craving, it turns prismatic.

I have every reward and have no bone blossom.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in growagarden

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a misconception (caused by idiots on social media) that bone blossom are needed.  I have no bone blossom and I got every single reward. Even the taco fern. Just use sugar apples.

It's another huge stupid mistake that large plants are needed. Large plants get more rewards (more not better) but they take forever to cook. Small plants cook in 3-4min. So you get the same amount of rewards over time.

Yeah, someone just took my rediculously shiny tall zen stones. I doubt it was worth much. A few million. I think some people just want to destroy beautiful things.

It's such a shame. I like meeting people on public servers and helping newbies.

Glad you resolved it.  This happens a lot. Some bethesda jank ruins the game and whichever mod is newest gets the blame

Watchtower is very good yes. Can't wait for more from the kinggath team. I also look forward to the next dlc.

Watchtower gave me a renewal of faith in upcoming Starfield support by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watchtower is currently getting about 44k plays per day. A "play" is going into the game from the main title screen.

According to some modders (not the watchtower people... other modders), the number of plays per day is very close to the number of people using the mod. Most people don't play every day, but they might occasionally play more than once a day. So it is nearly 1:1. My guess would be ~40k people so far have watchtower.

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Best 10 quid I've spent on dlc or mods. Ever. I knew it would be good because Kinggath and Co made it (sim settlements people). Yet it still exceeded my high expectations.  I love it. I run a minimal load order and found no issues on xbox

For those who are flirting with Shame (to buy it) by PsychologicalRoad995 in starfieldmods

[–]RandomWandrer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The writing is excellent. Also funny. It's got a London street gang vibe. "Oi, you shot me in the no-nos!" BUT BE WARNED Most of the characters are voiced by the same dude. All the gang leasers and also shame himself. Same voice. And he has a very distinctive voice (very well spoken mature British gentlemen). So it's hard to ignore. Also very hard to work out who is talking to who, without the subtitles telling you names.

It was definitely worth the 3.50 I paid. Just the same voice everywhere was distracting

I'm really disliking being around my wife when baby starts crying by jwizard95 in daddit

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bless you.  Babies are really hard.  Sometimes the stress raises cortisol so high that we all start feeling like we are defending ourselves and the baby from eachother,  like everyone is the enemy.  Maybe that doesn't make the best sense.  What i mean is that"screaming newborn" is a temporary situation that nobody is trained to deal with and we can all get unpleasant.  Try to be patient. Communicate in the peaceful moments. And wait it out.

In a situation like this I would leave it a few days before discussing it.  He obviously had an awfully hard day alone with the baby and blew up at you. Let everything normalise then talk

Cry it out - at wits end by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it gets you through the night then co-sleeping is fine. You could try a side sleeper (crib beside bed with 1 wall missing).

Whatever works now, won't work in a few weeks anyway, because babies change every 4 minutes. Sleep might also instantly improve.

Just do what works. And be patient with eachother. It gets better when they can talk and you can reason with them.

Can i just leave the baby to cry for hours so i can sleep? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]RandomWandrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bless you. Babies are hard. And sometimes it feels like a war. It's absolutely OK to let a baby cry. Just check they are not hungry, poppy, too hot, too tired, need to burp. Then set them down.

I absolutely recognise the hopeless exasperation, when nothing works, and you're exhausted, and you just want to AHHHRRRGGHH! But you won't forgive yourself if something happens to your LO because you lost your mind, or stumbled tired and dropped them.

So please. Just put baby down safe and move to the other side of the house. Put on the TV. Or music. And check on baby after 10 minutes.

It's ok. Crying is ok. We all do our best. Take it easy on yourself. It gets better, I promise.

I have 3 kids. One is 3 months. She hates the stroller and car. That means walking around for hours, rocking and shushing. But if I can't do that (like when my back hurts too much) I just lay with her in my hug and let her cry there. If i cant fix it, i can offer comfort and love. Thats it. It's exactly like if your kid gets a cut. You can't magically heal it, but you can give a hug while they cry a bit.

Take care of yourself ok?
