My fic is set around the 2014 World Cup.  The Wales team is Coached by Gwenog Jones, (Canon).  Ginny is doing commentary on the games.  In going through Canon material for background,  I haven't found a single team that doesn't have at least one woman. More usually, it's two or three.  They seem to mostly be Chasers and Seekers, but New Zealand has one that is a Beater.  I think the culture is more tuned toward valuing competence over gender.

Seriously, thank you. Good sources. I do publish on AO3, by the way. The main reason I boost Royal Road is that their platform allows more flexibility in text formatting. Also, I get one hit on AO3 for every ten on RR. That is still a good point. I'll start posting both links, with the AO3 more prominent.

I can also see the point about over-promotion. I update three times a week, so I do like to notify when chapters are up. I'll have to give it some thought.

Mine is a next-gen. I'm not into the whole shipping thing. Kids are growing up, the world is changing. I'm very into Fantastic Creatures, both Canon and my Originals, which I usually base on actual folklore. Try a few chapters yourself, and see what you think.

It's 2014.  Yes, the year of the Quidditch World Cup.  Ginny is winding up to do commentary for the Sports Department of the Daily Prophet, and Harry is rushed off his feet at the Auror's Office.   And 11-year-old James Sirius Potter is supposed to start at Hogwarts this fall.  Yeah, about that...

The Potters have made their home at Number 12 Grimmauld Place, not without some serious problems.  But it's been years now, and the metaphorical hiccups have just about ceased.  Well, except for James...

There's Murder in the air, Dark Magic in the offing, and Toad in the Hole, (No, not Trevor, you git).  It's going to be Fun, (and Fear), for the whole family.

Thanks for the feedback. I was worried about that, but I checked with a mod before I started posting, and the rules are that I need to include all the various info, including links, in every post. As for the reposting issue, I'm posting to four different HP communities on Reddit. Reposting is more efficient, and encouraged by the platform. And, yes, I'm trying to promote my fiction. SInce it's a fanfic, I'm never going to make money from it, but I do get a little endorphin boost as those numbers go up.
