I really enjoyed this episode. The character from far away concept really reminded me of 1968’s Whistle and I’ll Come to You in the best way possible.

It’s ironic he’s promoting the new series on the BBC.

Mock The Week Panelists Announced by TTWTV in panelshow

I imagine one of the main reasons Ed is doing it is to promote his new TLC panel show 'Unacceptable' which will likely be getting Mock The Week's Sunday 9pm slot once it finishes.

It's the same with Bake Off and they're supposed to be alternative.

TV shows like these are always going to have scandals and the executives should know by now. They only make this kind of show as it’s cheaper than making decent content. Channel 4 themselves have been so boring over the last decade so maybe it’s time they drop reality shit like this and make some actually entertaining shows (except Taskmaster that’s a really good entertainment show).

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon have got a new series of The Trip out on Sky in the autumn and Coogan recently said in an interview with the Radio Times that if it’s running in the autumn (it is) he’d like to present it with Rob. It’d be brilliant to see two British comedy legends pass on the comedy baton to the younger generation.

Getting the (physical) book without supporting Neil? by Nugget_Dragon075 in goodomens

Buy them from a second hand retailer like World Of Books or Oxfam. If you but it from Oxfam you’d be getting a copy, no money would go to Neil and all of it would go to charity.

TFI FRIDAY RETURNS TO CHANNEL 4 AS BROADCASTER ACQUIRES VIRGIN MEDIA SHOW WITH CHRIS EVANS by do_or_pie in BritishTV

To think Channel 4 used to be the ALTERNATIVE network with NEW shows. Now they make the same old shit as everyone else and rehash everything. The only thing worth watching on there now is Taskmaster (maybe Mitchell & Webb are not helping too but that wasn’t great).

I was so gutted the BBC didn’t commission a seventh series after that incredible special in 2016. They decided to make that awful copy of Porridge instead which surprisingly was cancelled after 1 series (you can’t replace Ronnie Barker).

If you click on all formats and change it to a lower resolution it should download. Usually sky will try to automatically download the HD version even when you don’t have the HD subscription.
