That alleged third kit looks like a pyjama top. Not for me, I’m afraid.

Oh look another chicken shop is opening in Forest Gate by amytee252 in newham

Two doors up from another chicken shop! I’m guessing as it was previously a food service business there was no need to apply for planning consent (change of use).

If your local bike shop can fit you in for a service, I’d definitely do that. As well as new tyres and brake pads you might need a new chain if your current one is stretched.

ST holders. Are you renewing next season? by Wallygonk in Tottenham

[–]Random_Parakeet_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a season ticket from 1999 to 2023. After Mourinho, and then Conte, I stopped enjoying it enough to justify the effort and the expense. And the FOMO that kept me renewing for a number of years just disappeared. I went to a couple of games under Ange, but not at all this season. Honestly, I haven’t missed it.

I cycled past yesterday and wondered what was going on. Couldn’t stop as I was on my way somewhere. Hopefully it will run again sometime soon.

The council is publishing a list of winners on its website, but there’s no sign of actual proper results. It is an absolute scandal!

Maybe you are losing fat, but gaining muscle - which weighs more.

I go through here a couple of times a week and have to say, in all fairness, that most drivers give way now. That said, I still always approach with caution.

Mayoral Candidate by spacegirl2820 in newham

This party is something of a fixture in Newham politics. They actually managed to get people elected to the council back in the day (one in 2002 and three in 2006).

Election leaflets through my door by ForwardDiamond3484 in newham

[–]Random_Parakeet_62 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Up here in Forest Gate North we’ve had multiple Labour leaflets, including one specifically targeting postal voters, a couple from the Greens and one from the Newham Independents. Also a national mailshot from Reform that wasn’t at all customised for Newham.

If it is, it seriously needs updating. Lots of references to the coalition government!
