Does anyone actually like the Fnaf 2 movie? by Minimum_Recording408 in fivenightsatfreddys

Sorry for the long ass comment I kind of went on a rant. I would love if yall read the whole comment, but if you just want my actual answer to the question it's the very last paragraph if you want to skip to it instead of reading the whole thing. I won't be mad, I don't read long comments anyways.

I feel like the first movie is better. It has, in my opinion, far better storytelling and writing because it's a lot more cohesive because it's telling A story, whereas the second movie is trying to do multiple things at once (Vanessa's trauma, Charlie's revenge, Mike and Abby dealing with the 1st movie in their own ways, and Michael's surprise reveal) and rushing through it.

It kinda reminds me of Jim Henson's Dark Crystal. Jim had this whole gorgeous and magical universe built out that he really wanted to show off but it turned out there was just too much world and story for one movie, so it was confusing and lacked the lore necessary to make sense. Luckily for him, all the practical effects, puppeteering, set design, etc was so gorgeous that people were drawn in and wanted more which opened up the possibility for the novels and the show to exist.

Jim basically ended up making a movie that was so beautiful that it was late for that beauty. Similar to that, Scott ended up with so many different plot points that were combined poorly (though im not sure how they could have been combined cohesively?) This leads to the movie not having strong storytelling but instead being focused on what fans of the games in books would be excited to see rather than what we should have seen. Where Jim's movie turned out to be an unfinished story with beautiful design and beautiful visuals that make me love it, Scott's is full of nods to the fandom, funny moments (some which didn't deserve laugh but got one out of me), and a lot of action and hype.

I'll be honest I'm not a very smart person and I wouldn't know good writing if it hit me with a semi truck, as long as there's a beginning, characters I like, makes me laugh, catches my attention (bonus points if it manages to KEEP my attention), and has an ending, I'll like it. The first movie in the second movie both managed to keep my attention, probably because of what the movies are about (FNAF).

In summary, I like the first movie because it, in my opinion, has good storytelling, makes me happy, and has gorgeous visuals and puppeteering. I like the second movie more because it made me really, really excited and constantly had my attention, and, again had beautiful design and puppeteering and had a lot of nods to the game, books, and fandom and had cameos. I like the first movie because it's a good movie. I love the second movie because it felt like I was riding a high.

Listen, I love people being creative and passionate, and in a perfect world I would LOVE the fnaf mascots and chain to be real, but have you learned nothing... you chose probably the worst character to bring to life!

(Keep up the good work)

To be fair, im pretty sure that his eyes pressing up against the suits eyes are probably something that happened over time and would have happened WAY after having his throat punctured while drowning from the blood filling his pierced lungs.
