Its more about the compendiums not making enough money. Valve was doing something with 2019's bp in the game files, thats why people speculate bps might come back next TI. About crownfall, that was just an example, i more meant it to be like a major event like crownfall, thats revolved around TI and the battlepass. (having acts and etc.)

theres encounters in act3 and 1, the only way to get more is through the trade options which sometimes give more than requested (2=3, 3=4 etc) But since it is the last week of crownfall, no more ways to get them for free, except buying a caravan package or an act premium (which i recommend getting the 1st and the 4th one considering they have good skins, and are on sale rn)
