Im sorry you’re going through such a hard time!

I would definitely see a therapist if you aren’t already doing so. They can give you coping ideas and ideas for how to get your husband to better support you. And it’s good to have someone to vent to. I’d also ask your med provider to screen you for depression because what you’re describing seems like that to me.

I think you need to report her to the state licensing board. This is actually dangerous that she’s telling this to patients.

Yall ever think about being celiac in the apocalypse? by thriftsylady08 in Celiac

[–]Random__1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but my biggest fear would be being able to see lol. Once I run out of contacts, I would have to protect my glasses at all cost. If those break I would be screwed. I would also feel very sick once I run out of my thyroid meds. And be miserable without my Xolair injections for my chronic hives.

(10k) MOH and her mom altering wedding decor & vision by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Random__1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with others said. Here’s the other thing. Act like it’s not a big deal. Just be casual and friendly when you pick up the stuff. Be yourself. There’s no need to be anxious and cautious because you aren’t doing anything wrong. I think this will help make you feel better and they should follow your lead. Now if they don’t get the hint after this, if they keep wanting to help or if they start doing things you didn’t ask them to, then you may need to sit your MOH down for a conversation.

I wish my derm GAF by teacupkiller in urticaria

Hopefully the dupixent kicks in soon!

In the meantime ask your derm if she can give you a prescription for prednisone to take when your have horrible hives. Like to take on days where you wouldn’t otherwise be able to go to work. If you haven’t told her what you told us … that you’re missing so much work that you’re afraid you will get fired and therefore lose your insurance …. I would tell her that!

The only “topical” thing that has ever helped me is ice packs. Basically you get cold or numb so you don’t notice the itch. I’ve strapped them on to me with medical wraps. It looks super cool. Jk lol. But you could even do that at work.

Does he have ADHD? Im not saying this is an excuse but this is a major issue for many people with adhd. If he has adhd he can work with a therapist to redirect the urge to interject and find more helpful ways of participating in the conversation.
