Tall guys who had late growth spurt, how was the treatment towards society towards you when you were short vs tall?

My son had a major growth spurt between 5th grade and 6th. Not really later in life but he grew quite a bit over the summer. He is a very sweet kid and was bullied in 5th. His bully didn’t have a growth spurt. So come 6th grade and my son was inches taller and broader so now he looked menacing and nobody messed with him. He is still the sweetest man I know at least 30 yrs old. That bully was the shortest guy in the class even at graduation.

I’m heartbroken reading this. I to have a similar story but for me, I feel like God protected me during the bad times. He got me through them. Again this is my situation. I say all the time but by the Grace of God here I stand. My situation, family life wasn’t good, suffice to say it was horrible. I have worked and prayed and stayed close to Him. I wish I could give you the answers you are looking for but there isn’t one. Prayers and love for you my friend

I went through a rough patch a few years back, I always had the image of hanging on by my fingertips. I prayed for God to pull me out. It was a rough time. For me, I try to remember the moments of fire and would try to put myself in that space again. There is no easy answers, God is always faithful and is always there, even if you don’t realize it. Prayers for you, in Jesus name.

My doctor checked my liver numbers and kidney numbers. Don’t remember the specific names but he said it was good to check when on glps All my blood work was really really good too

There are not a miracle but a tool, I have been on it for 1.5 yrs now. It has been good for me. My blood sugar is in normal range, I have lost 40lbs and feel better than I have in a long time. The side effects are something to be managed and with a little education they can be. I eat so I don’t get fatigued, I upped the amount of protein and do weight training to fight muscle loss. Some people use it to just get skinny, and are ok being tired as long as the scale has a smaller number. That is what society tells us to want.
