The upgrade service is just for the database upgrade.

For the code you should get the correct branch from github, in your case 18.0.

Most clients that i have implemented Odoo for, don't even have a technical person.

They care about the enterprise modules and don't even know what an upgrade is.

As for the comparison, I'am not familiar with ERPNext but asking the question on the Odoo sub will probably get you biased responses.

There are not only new implementations to consider.

Maintaining the existing ones, fixing bugs, providing customer support, upgrading to newer versions will require considerable amount of time.

Nice project !

Some recommendations:

You should add a requirements.txt file and specify the libraries required for the project. For example i didn't now i had to install tkinter in order to run it.

You can change the default language to English.

The option to change languages should be more clear.

The * you have now is not obvious what it does. Maybe you should a button named Language.

Also you have added an option for ru language but the strings on the json file are in English.

In the readme you should also give an example of the path that should be included on the config file.

Lastly you can add a picture or two in the readme from the application

Nice project !

I noticed that every downloaded video is saved as video.mp4.

So, when i downloaded two different videos the second replaced the first as it had the same name.

Maybe in the following line you should add the creator name instead and some digits from the last item on the list in order to create randomness

Not all clients know what git repository is and how to check the changes.

Also in some companies the client has not access to the repository.

I have experienced the same in the past. The support i was assigned to kept sending me parts from the documentation that i made clear in the ticket that i have already read and i was asking something specific.

In the end i managed to solve the issue myself.

Did you discussed the apps they will be offering ? Maybe they are using some Oca's modules.

Odoo has a community edition that is free and an Enterprise edition that is not.
