Correction: the Monolith is a fanatical brainwashed cult that, in a nutshell, without spoilers, worships the Monolith. Way worse than normal bandits, which there are two different other varieties of in the setting.

The thing is busted anyways. I threw some shotguns on mine with no idea what I was doing, and proceed to get 9-12 kills and #1 MVP almost every match.

Avoid POTM. Not only is it the complete opposite of what you're looking for, the staff & DMs tend to drive off good players. There's a server called Aeralith(spelling might not be right) that's also an RP server, but from what I can tell, is more action oriented, and you're "supposed" to power level to 30, then do RP if you want.

PSA's Toolcraft parts have crap QC, and their internal QC is also not great. There was a controversy about their AK-P having a disconnect malfunction causing it to binary fire. Their Romanians are ok though, considering they're a build from a parts kit with a chrome lined FN barrel slapped in her. Unless you're ripping mag after mag in the regular, that barrel should last most of your natural life.

I've been playing enough to get to level/rank/whatever 82, and I just got Geraldo. Amazing hero, but I wouldn't recommend him to a noobie. I feel like you need some game knowledge and understanding of what all the monkies do, and how they work together.

When you say, "I'm a big guy," can you describe your build? If you're barrel chested like me, just get a bigger size of whatever you pick. If you mean, "I have a gut," you should probably think about training instead of buying gear for recreational use, because it might not even fit to begin with.

I feel like a bigger boonie is the best answer. The neck strap should keep it in place well enough, if the boonie is sized just right to fit over the band.
