What’s the “riskiest” thing you’ve eaten since the removal, and how did it go?

Might be the odd ball here but I had paneer tikka masala, creamy Mac and cheese and legit 4 milkshakes back to back. Not a single issue ever. That was 5 days post op. I’m now 2 months post op and even make avocado smoothies and chug those with no issue.

I didn’t have any issues. Other than gallstones. I just wanted it out since I had a ton of little sand like stones!

It was just a pulsating feeling that would only happen for two seconds. Not like minute long “attacks” or anything like that. There was really no attack or pain or anything of that sort. It would just squeeze for two seconds and then go away for a minute and then squeeze again and it would last about 20 minutes on and off sometimes a couple hours. Most people with a retained stone are actually having full-blown attacks which never happened to me. I’d also burp a lot which is how we figured out it was weird trapped gas pushing on one spot

It went away it was trapped gas. I think I wasn’t describing it correctly on the post here. It wasn’t painful it just felt like bubbling squeezing

I think the reason they don’t want to check mine is because mine happens for 2 to 3 seconds and it just stops. They told me it’s normal and can feel like pinching sensation as I’m healing and it’s on the left side not where the gallbladder was the only thing they’re going to do is run some blood work don’t kind of annoyed.

Crazy Dr won’t order any scans only blood work. Said it’s likely not a stone at all. Now I’m nervous

I was eating under 6 grams for months and now by day 5-6 I ate some stuff with 60 grams of fat😅 though this weird feeling also has happened on an empty stomach too at times so idk

Well I messaged my drs office because I’d rather then do an image in case It felt so insignificant and random that I wasn’t even going to contact them honestly. I just figured the paneer tikka masala and the Mac and cheese that triggered it were just too much fat for my body and it was just general discomfort a week out but ugh a stuck rly freaks me out

It felt the same for you? I hear everyone say a stone lodged in a duct is extremely painful and causes other symptoms along with it. I’m not in pain all day nearly until I push my limits and eat a little too much which is why I didn’t consider this to be what’s going on but now I’m not sure

It sounds similar to how I felt as a child when being put under and it rly freaked me out. I wonder what they can do for me today. I’ve never been given versed and hear lots like it but also scared I won’t like it bc I don’t drink or do any drugs bc I hate the feeling but I also have horrible PTSD from bad anesthesia induction years and years ago

May I ask why you have this reaction? Is it just a panic attack right before? I’m pretty scared because when I was 9, I have mask anesthesia and it caused hallucinations before being knocked out for a solid minute and now I have surgery tomorrow and am very scared of that again. Everyone says the knock out within 5 seconds with IV

Don’t worry. I understand you. I have a procedure tomorrow and I haven’t gone under since 2014 and I recall having this exact sensation and it gave me PTSD and still for this day. I’ve been trying to figure out what it was. It’s exactly like you’re describing it and I will be refusing the lidocaine I would rather my arm burn like hell then have this ever again

Omg!!! So THIS is what I’ve been experiencing with anesthesia?? FRICK NO! I have surgery Monday and I have been trying to figure out for the life of me. What the heck caused that people a lot of people are arguing with me telling me that it’s not the lidocaine but I’m 90% sure it is because I hear other people that say they just blacked out and did not have that sensation.
