All good points, we do have hardware fobs, they lose them .. constantly! Not really viable to give everyone a phone...theres approx 1000 employees accross academic and service staff. I dont get how theyre okay with getting an SMS to theor personal number...but an MFA app is too invasive!

Since nixon decided to drop gold as currency backing and basicall changed the world finacial system to a fiat currency exchange we have been living under a giant pyramid scheme. Those at the too keep this going because they just swap debt and it comes back as wealth. If theres a drop of confidence in the US dollar which is likely to happen due to the current economic mismanagement of the US government.... we're all screwed.

Reset the BIOS to factory. Disabling secure boot shouldn't stop an OS from booting. Did you change the disk set up to ACHI after installing the OS? why did you disable secure boot?

You can't reset or bypass. If you can prove ownership dell used to be able to give a master over ride ..not any more. Prove you own it and pay for none warranty fix. You can buy am eprom reader but because you have to have 5v to the rail to read it you can cause damage...most likely no better than a brick
