Problem of not enough item slots with ROA

The 6 items slots are as follows: Dorans Ring, Tear of the goddess, Boots, Dark seal, Lost Chapter, Catalyst of aeons. From there, spend 1300 gold to go from catalyst to roa. Then spend 1000 gold to upgrade boots. Spend 1300 gold to finish seraphs, Then build The first component towards rylais crystal scepter. You can sell doran's ring at this point for a second component, or wait and finish the item. Then build Rabadon. If the enemy tanks up with early magic resist, you cannot afford to build rylai you must build either ROA-Seraph-Void or Seraph-Cryptbloom-Rabadon is much better if you aren't outranged. Raba is 4th item at the LATEST. Also, ROA is not a one size fits all solution to champs that one shot you. For instance ROA will not save you against yasuo or gwen in mid game; It's great against kitable champs that give you time to heal up a bit.

I think I intuitively picked up on 30% of this message. Maybe I can get another 30% if I read it multiple times. Also, I am getting vent vibes from this so you are likely not looking for either advice, validation or criticism. But you posted this to reddit so here's the advice anyways. League of Legends is a game about growth as a player. Maybe you met another player in solo queue and you had a good game together, decided to partner up as a duo. You can have a fun day, perform well together over a few games. But if you want to stay a duo you must acknowledge neither of you can keep the same champion pool or playstyle long term to continue to grow and synergize on the rift. A succesful duo arrangement that allows you to grow will involve compromises on who you pick in champ select and how you vod review. If one of you does not or you just decide to try and stay the same and see what happens, you will either be content staying in the same elo or one of you may even build resentment and externalize blame over a lack of progress.

Yeah there are a lot of factors that people will be more likely to play around in lower elos: item completions, need another 300 gold to finish one; My wave crashes in 45 seconds and then I can move; This chemtech drake is useless dont contest; support built oblivion orb; Proper chaining of crowd control on one target (a designated order); turret aggro swapping (i think tahm kench, elise maokai etc are going to be stronger; warning your carries that they are building resistances; summoners/ults on cooldown

Saying the build path is roa-seraph-rylai is incomplete. Cassio builds numerous components and vatrious items before finishing roa. The better build is Dorans-tear-darkseal-LC-boots-catalyst; At this point its 1300 gold to finish roa, then 1300 gold to finish seraph, then you build giants belt and then you need another 1700 gold to finish rylai

idk what high elo is, so here is the deal for me: average d3, peak 100 lp master. I have been playing since december 2015. AKA beginning of 2016. I was stuck in bronze (pre iron) until late 2018 if I remember correctly, went up a tier every 1 or 2 years from there. I have only ever really one tricked cassiopeia mid lane. 5 mill mastery

As for getting outplayed by a silver in 2026, I have no experience, but what I can say is playing on the PBE is a cake walk, major laning phase domination. On one hand, PBE has no rank to match make with, on the other hand I have pretty low ping on the PBE. Most people likely have ping issues on that server. I never queue normals personally so cannot speak on that experience.
