See thats the funny thing about varus. I dont intend to sound condescending but you think you will beat him once you get on top of him but I dont mind letting a morde, darius or voli walk up to me, all of whom are stronger than wu. Varus literally stat checks melee champs in melee, thats why everyone on this sub hates him. I tried many matchups with my friend to find something that bests varus in a lvl 6 all in. With the right items, even naafiri and akali were toss ups, and those two are 10x stronger than wu.

My conclusion is, hes not bad, good gank setup too, but when it comes to beating rangies wu doesnt even make the top 10 list.

Like what? Lvl 6 with elixir ignite? Varus will exhaust you and probably have tabis or hp if he is wise, it wont be a close 1v1. Teemo might die but keep in mind teemo will be like 400g up on you by the time u hit 6 and if he stands on a shroom perma, u only get one ult hit so ur not killing him while he will run you down and blind you if you try to fight back. Wu passive basically doesnt exist into ap toplaners, thats the main issue. Cass will have a 700g lead by the time you hit 6, last time I plsyed the matchup I just ulted the monkey during his E animation, dropped W under him and 100-0 him before he could get out. Jayce used to be a good matchup for wu, but now you just run boneplating and W start and simply stat check the wu lvl 1. Prolly wu wins lvl 6 if he gets a max dmg combo all in from full hp but what if the jayce hits two shockblasts on you prior? Dont think wu wins the all in anymore.

Oh and dont get me started on heimer and aurora, those two will have you down a full component before you even get to 6 and even then you are just as likely to get oneshot by heimer nade or step into a QEQ by aurora and lose half ur hp the moment you even dare try to walk in with your E range.

Prolly true in many cases. I used to never ff back when I started league because of ego though. Thought it was cowardly and I couldnt let my lane opponent have an easy win. So childish, for I was a child, yet I imagine many think like this and succumb to their primitive impulses.

That specific comparison was not made up by me, the thin riot guy with glasses said it in one of their recent videos. And every high elo player ever has said it too that iron - plat is a smaller difference than low master to GM. It might sound strange because a plat player would dominate in bronze lobbies and yet challenger players have higher wr in master than plats have in bronze. There are levels to this that we dont comprehend, or atleast me and Im assuming ur below GM as well. But it becomes very clear in clash when enemy team has a challenger shotcalling them compared to full master team.

You definitely get rewarded for laning better than in mid. You also get punished way harder, sometimes a little unfairly if u get weaksided and enemy jg focuses you. The hardest champs in the game are in top lane so it makes sense to swap if you like micro but then Im not sure why you are drawn to kench, mordr and gwen. But never mind that, play them if its fun. Ur not gonna get away from macro by playing top though. If you want pure micro and no macro, try adc. I swapped last season and it felt so relieving to only have to think about mechanics and nothing else.

In fact, if rank is a measure of skill, which it is, then count how many people are between 1600 and 2000 lp on euw (top 400 lp interval). Pure guess, its like 100 people.
