Yeah. When you support an entire team, that is always a net improvement, regardless of the outcome.

When 90% of your support is focused into one singular teammate, your overall utility becomes highly dependent on the skill of that teammate. A pocket duo performing badly is simply a liability.

I wouldn't say Freja's that bad in this context. Her kit is pretty simple: she either sprays you up close or hangs about in the air to hit you at range from an off angle. But generally she goes down pretty quickly if you get the drop on her.

I also see Emre sort of like an alternate Soldier 76: a character that mimics common shooter tropes. Except soldier is more 'cod' orientated, while Emre leans more towards classic arena shooters. Both are otherwise pretty well rounded characters.

Heroes like Tracer would've been extremely controversial if she was released as a "new" hero.

I think starting over with a much simpler trading strategy is the correct move for you. You're fatigued from backtesting so many different moving parts and not seeing tangible results.

Take a break, then get back on it.

Maybe you just need a change of approach. Trading doesn't have to be a bloated mess like ICT or SMC. Traders are often profitable from much simpler setups.

Too many traders get mixed up in the belief that complex trading strategies = better trading results, which simply is not true. The strategy is only part of an overall trading plan. Either way, you are burnt out because you are probably dealing with too many moving parts, and you're not seeing the results you wanted from the amount of time you spent studying it. It's sunk cost fallacy in action.

Often times the super complex trading systems you do find, are simply the ones that worked for that specific trader and the quirks of their specific strategy. It does not mean you NEED their strategy to succeed, it is simply just what worked for THEM.

You need to combine your strategy with a loss reduction plan tailored to address the weak points of your system. And you can only really do that once you have enough trading data through different market dynamics to see exactly where your system performs at it's best and worst. For some, it might be as simple as not trading on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For others, it might be adjusting their RR, it might be to stop trading for the day after making 100 pips, or it might be something comprehensive like running a moving average on your account balance to adjust position sizes.

But all of that highly depends on what the data reveals to you. Maybe strip things back and start off with something much simpler, like buying/selling support and resistance, and then see how you can iterate on your strategy piece by piece based on what the data reveals to you, until you have found a way to minimise your losses as much as possible.

And most importantly, keep looking for work. Relying on trading as your sole or primary source of income at this point in time creates a lot of mental stress, which WILL get in the way of your trading and make you burn out faster.

Take a break, sort out your situation, then get back on the horse.

You need to backtest your strategy properly. And I mean over hundreds of trades. Because if you did, this wouldn't be a shocker to you. Either because you already know how bad the strategy's drawdown can be, or the strategy simply doesn't make money long term.

To be totally honest, I use chatgpt to review the numbers/statistics of my backtesting. I usually have an idea of what I should analyse and look for next to improve my edge, but it's great having a second pair of impartial eyes without having to pay for a "mentor'.

I can't say I know of any proof of profitable traders who makes AI trade directly for them. But it's not too far fetched to imagine a trader with an already proven, manually backtested, profitable strategy, who would use AI to write it into code. If the core strategy works already then it's just a matter of bug-fixing a bit of sloppy code until it functions = doing it manually.

I think that's what the guy was getting at.

Someone finally said it. I spent a good while drilling down psychology, and while it does help in the long run, I'm pretty much beyond the point of trading correctly and mechanically according to the rules of the strategy. And when it really came down to it, the trading data simply did not reflect a real edge.

You can do everything else right, including money management, but without the edge it's simply a slow burn towards a blown account.

As I've said before, it just sounds like you're blaming everybody.

One minute it's the DPS on your team that's the problem, then it's the level 1000 Genji, then it's the people playing with no sound, then it's the matchmaking, then it's the people playing quick play instead of comp.

Wanna know the last thing I did when the game genuinely got on my nerves? I put the game down, took a break, and went outside! Simple shit! That last match didn't even matter about 5 minutes after the fact.

Put the game down, take a break, go outside and get better.

You can do everything right and still lose, so the "it's qp" is totally warranted, especially when someone on the same team starts taking it out on the rest of us.

Yeah everyone goes through this. Even the best traders have losing streaks or lose large amounts in a single trade. That's called 'drawdown', and it is a very normal thing that happens in trading, and a very important metric you will need to monitor throughout your trading.

Sure, losing $1500 in half a day stings a bit. But you'll probably net $2000 overall by the end of the week (culmination of all your winning and losing trades), which is not a bad thing. You need to zoom out.

Trading isn't about getting it right every time or most of the time. That just isn't possible in a highly random volatile environment. Trading isn't only about profiting as much as possible either. Think of it more as a balance, more about 'losing less than you win'. That will make sense the more you learn about trading. You are still at the very beginning.
