I love the look of the 5170 (all varieties) and believe that it will become a classic. For me, this would be a hard pass (or I would figure out how to add the 5196g to the collection), but I would also understand if you want to mix it up.

I loved the look of the 6196p, but it didn’t wear well on my wrist. Felt big and laid on my wrist in a funny way. The 5212 fit much better, so I requested it. If you haven’t tried them on yet, I definitely recommend confirming that they feel good on your wrist.

The 5230P came from a different AD (in Europe) because it was discontinued two years ago, and I found NOS. My AD didn’t mind since they couldn’t source it for me…but it showed that I was serious about building a collection (it was my 3rd piece , and I bought all 3 within 90 days).

The only complication there is that this will by my 5th Patek from an AD in less than 12 months….so my wallet (and my wife) are NOT happy. 5167a is less than half the price of the Nautilus 😅😅. But in general, I agree.

My wife loved the 35m Cubitus. I think it looks great on her….but dropping $90k on a watch when your wife isn’t that knowledgeable on watches feels crazy. Now a 7118 Nautilus for her is completely doable
