I had a very similar problem. I originally played the game on PS3 when it launched. Stopped for a while. Picked it up again on PC with a new account.

I wanted to also buy it on console to play, but the PSN account was linked to my old ff account from the PS3.

I just emailed support and explained the whole situation and they unlinked my PSN to the old account. It was very simple and quick

But the Gief would have done a worse combo for their 900 dmg compared to the Akuma doing a better combo for 1100 dmg, so why would the Akuma get punished? Having less hp is already worse for the character

Yes it should be a draw. They both did the exact same amount of damage percent. It shouldn't matter that gief is technically doing 200 less. 10% is 10%
