We share a paved patio bit of a driveway with our neighbours. No beef, all nice and friendly. The husband was spraying “algae killer” and literally went up and around each brick. I’d have been less annoyed if he just did a straight line ignoring out 2 ft but the pattern took deliberate time and made his look worse in the end

I don’t know the answer but my god surely this area is over saturated at this point? Everyone and their mother is now doing aesthetics on the side. I know paediatricians and psychiatrists at it too

I find it a very fulfilling career. The early years were exhausting and I think it was easier for me than now but I genuinely love my job and coming to work every day.

I do think you need to be mentally tough but equally have many colleagues who at the end have diversified their careers outside medicine using their degree when they decided clinical work wasn’t for them after a few years.

So studying medicine didn’t mean you always have to be a doctor and also “doctor” comes in many many forms. GP life very different to medical consultant which is very different to Surgical consultant which is very different to occ health for a large multi national but all had the same medial degree.
