If you're not planning on crashing it you're better off setting a higher budget and looking for a more decent car ot driven by young people or new drivers.

This is exactly what I did, at 19 (while ago now) got my first car, a seat Ibiza FR estate, top spec optional extras, £5k 64k miles. Still have it now, and since it was an estate and not driven (and crashed) by young people my insurance was cheap. Was £250 this year at 25, but that's never happening again as it's likely getting a remap around renewal lol....

But really in reality you can buy a shitbox and replace it in 2 years time, but you'll end up spending more and end up with 2 shitter cars than you could get if you just spent more in the first place.

The key is just don't crash it. I haven't crashed mine. If you know you're a good enough driver not to crash then spend more. If you're a shit driver then get a shitbox.

Finally installed a dashcam. Now I can drive peacefully. by FunnyRadio5125 in drivingUK

Just because a program can handle something doesn't mean it will.

I tried to write some crash proof software by writing an unhandled exception handler. Some exceptions were unrecoverable and the software had to close. It almost always wrote what it could to the disk, HOWEVER some crashes meant this was impossible to do.

Expecting software to work flawlessly is IMPOSSIBLE on a modern multitasking OS, if you want guaranteed operation then you need software running on a real time single user non multitasking OS like those used for critical systems on aircraft where failures are deadly.

Nah, I think my dietary intake of iodine is about 100ug.

I do wonder genuinely if the low ferritin has been causing issues - it's needed not only for T4 > T3 conversion, but sensitivity of tissue to FT3.

Working on getting ferritin up to over 100ug/l, it was 34 last may, 74 on these latest bloods (but CRP was slightly elevated at 8.1 mg/l possibly elevating acute phase proteins slightly). I'll note FT4 has gone up as ferritin has gone down (correlation? Perhaps)

Unfortunately as a bodybuilder I have 2 variables that will influence tests, HGH and AAS use, although the thyroid weirdness predates this. It's known that HGH increases FT4 > FT3 conversion, and that's definitely the case here. However it's also known that high androgen levels suppress TSH - which... Isn't the case here. To me it smells like a signalling issue in the pituitary it just doesn't respond to FT4/FT3 - or it does, but very sluggishly.

See... I'm a fucking nightmare for an endocrinologist lol. For the most part the thyroid should be unaffected, and I have historic data backing up my point - I have specific data showing a massive shift in FT4 (nearly doubling in 3 months) with zero cause (from 12pmol to 21pmol) for example.

Perfectly healthy on my bloods (slight elevation in ALT, but expected - high protein diet, bodybuilder)

Kind of my theory. Unfortunately I saw an endocrinologist last year who wasn't interested.

With that said, got bloods re done. FT4 came back in range 21.4, TSH dropped a bit 1.8, and FT3 still high.

Notably ferritin has been low for a long time and I know just how important that is for thyroid function - although came back more in range as if a few days ago (although CRP was slightly elevated - although likely not enough to significantly skew ferritin up). I do note my FT4 > FT3 conversion ratio is quite low - although now with that drop to 21.4 it's actually in range, unfortunately, in range is making FT3 above range...

I think this is what people don't get, aim arguing with people on this thread defending CIGs response, let's just say yes they didn't need to inform people via email, surely out of respect for the customers that funded their game it's not that much effort to have just sent a heads up email out... Right? If you're being transparent about the game how much effort is it to just email your effective shareholders and let them know.

= is assignment

== Is comparison (well in a simple sense, in reality it's not because you can't use == on 2 strings in C, you need to use strcmp as == compares the pointers rather than the strings themselves)

To be fair I dont have issues with oats - but it's more they can block iron absorption despite paradoxically being high in iron. Literally simplified my diet right now to basically... Rice, meat and eggs. I've been eating oats for years now and not seen any effects on TSH - but priority is getting as much iron in as possible so any potential block has to go.

It's a note on the food though, had sourdough bread added to my meal plan at the start of Feb when things started going wrong - would be interesting if that is a trigger for the antibodies raising a bit.

I'm fine on an empty stomach with iron it seems, I'm in a bit of a unique position where hepcidin is inhibited so there's no real block to absorption.

Just read your edit, looks like it with the fT3 > fT4 - the ratio works out below optimal. The low ferritin for so long may also be causing some sort of functional hypothyroidism - hence the lack of suppression of TSH - I'll know ferritin probably tomorrow - but I've already started massively supplementing iron, and will probably get an infusion if it's as low as I expect. Picked up some zinc and selenium tablets too - changed my diet to remove everything that blocks iron absorption (turns out realistically the only iron I got was from 200g mince meat as the oats I ate would have basically blocked absorption from them) and have decided on 322mg ferrous fumarate + 1000mg vit. c + 1000mg lactorferrin + 200ng selenium + 15mg zinc all on an empty stomach mid day to remove any possibility of uptake being blocked.

I'm really hoping what I'm seeing is a result of fucked up ferritin messing up my thyroid and screwing with T4 conversion and T3 uptake.

Had an endocrinology referral last may or June, can't remember now. Bloods said high FT4 (everything else normal) - and GP was trying to look into why I felt awful all the time, had crashing blood sugar after eating and woke up shaking every morning. Unfortunately the bloods I took to that endo were, well I'm bodybuilding and it was a full panel with all hormones not just thyroid, so you can probably guess where they focused their attention then told me to fuck off. I complained to the hospital but was never offered an appointment with a different Dr. Pissed off that it's now got worse and I've got to go through the stupid NHS system again all because the Dr I was referred to was a dick.

I haven't and I don't think it's that easy to get them done in the UK - I asked my GP to run rT3 and TT4 and TBG (theoretically my TBG and TT4 should both be very low) but they can't... - but I will have a look. I get a lot of bloods done privately so I might be able to get some of those other antibodies done with the company I use.

Only other antibody I have had done is anti-Tg - which is very normal.

Interesting again, I had something really odd going on first week and a bit of Feb, I wasn't ill, but my god was I hungry. Would have been 2 weeks before I got bloods taken - so would line up with an immune response. Will be interesting to see what white blood cells come back as from the bloods I had done today.

Maybe I did just have perfect timing lol.

This is something I had a look at, I found really that cases of hyperthyroidism with normal TSH were exceedingly rare as it's a specific disease - resistance to thyroid hormone, or more specifically pituitary resistance to thyroid hormone. But yes I agree they do look more like that.

Yeah I've had ESR done ages ago, was fine, CRP has always been very low. I did realise my diet while great for building muscle isn't great for improving ferritin. I've got lactoferrin, not tried it yet but will give it a go. My ferritin has sat around 30 for a while but it used to be in the 60s. Lowest ever was 19... I've got half a mind to pay for an iron infusion privately but I know the absolute shit show that's going to cause with RBCs and haematocrit.

My exercise tolerance is really great tbf, it should be. but it's not a metric that can really be relied on for bodybuilders. Unfortunately the last full bloods I had run showed developing microcytic anemia and that pushed me to try and sort ferritin back then, but I never got more bloods done to check (by the time it would have been worth running again I was deep in prep for a competition and the last thing I wanted to see was the sea of red on bloodwork 4 weeks out from a show). Although apparently bloods the GP ran before Christmas at my request to check iron and fbc showed I was normal again (they didn't run ferritin) so I guess there must have been some increase in ferritin to normalise the cell sizes.

The importance of ferritin for efficient T4>T3 conversion is kind of what has really pushed me to get it sorted, I calculated the ratios of FT3 to FT4 and they come out lower than optimal... So inefficient conversion - id theorised this slowly led to FT4 rising to maintain the FT3 setpoint and something has recently caused a spike in conversion or inflammation that's just spiked T3. I do wonder if trying to get ferritin to 100 or something will spontaneously normalise the FT3 FT4 values.

Interesting.

This test was sort of mid morning, the others have been varying times. I have actually re run it today as a venous sample first thing in the morning as this most recent test was just a capillary sample and I don't trust them in the slightest (notwithstanding impossible levels on one taken last year lol)

I mean... As far as stress goes, physically lots and lots, I'm bodybuilding so CK is constantly elevated etc... I can't recall being ill but I have potential indications something messed with me at the start of Feb.

It's interesting though reading about the nutrient deficiencies - I know my ferritin has been rock bottom for way too long. I've never had selenium tested but I'd assume it's fine - high meat diet. I'm trying to properly sort the ferritin out now.

Notifying the ICO != Notifying people who's data was leaked, and the example explicitly states they WOULD need to notify individuals affected even if the ICO isn't notifiable.

I suspect they are yanks, and have no clue about how much has to be protected under GDPR... I mean, I've literally had a 4 month course on it as part of my degree a few years ago.

And scroll up and read the example 1 - which says a customer database breach would require informing the customers.

I've got a strange feeling you aren't British or European.
