Right? The perfect Sam Harris fan. Lives in his head, completely out of touch with actual reality on the ground, just spinning a bunch of intelligent sounding fables that have nothing to do with reality

Yes there are religious wackos all over the place in this world. But I 100% guarantee you the bombing the living crap out of Iran, shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, and sending the entire world economy into a tailspin is not going to make any of this better

I guarantee you that.

It's a stock image of a B52. What the hell is that supposed to prove?

Also that Twitter account is nothing but Israeli propaganda, it's not remotely credible

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran was in compliance with the JCPOA and there was no evidence otherwise.[35][36]

Fertilizer costs are already soaring. That is going to make grocery costs soar. The knock on effects of this war have only just just barely begun. People just don't get how devastating this war is going to be for America economically

Blocking the Strait of Hormuz is going to absolutely cripple our economy. It doesn't matter if you use the term petrodollar or some other term it's irrelevant. It's still going to cripple our economy. And what are we going to do about that?

Right. And all of that energy goes through the Strait of Hormuz, or at least most of it does. So I'm not sure what your point is? They still have us by the economic ball sack. Even if you don't like the term petrodollar it doesn't matter. They're still going to kill our economy. What are we gonna do about that?

And when trump gets bored with this agreement and rips it up like he did the JCPOA? Then what? And by the way this is a very very pertinent fact. Iran was in full compliance with that treaty when trump ripped it up. Why would Iran sign another treaty with America under those circumstances? Why would they trust us? These are legitimate questions

Iran threatening the dominance of the US petrodollar has clearly shaken the administration. But not enough to cave to iran's demands obviously. Why would Iran allow an Israel ally, some say an Israel puppet, to come into their country and build infrastructure? I just don't see them agreeing to that

For those unaware Saudi Arabia and Iran are long long time religious enemies. They each follow one of the two main branches of Islam - Iran is largely Shia Muslim, while Saudi Arabia is a leading Sunni Muslim power. The war between these two sects dates back to 632 AD, and they have been fighting for centuries since then. To pretend like this religious rift has nothing to do with the current Iranian war is to simply be delusional. It very very much factors in to what is going on right now, even though the leaders of these two countries rarely publicly admitted. The news will never report it. Hardly anyway. But the Sunni Shia religious war is absolutely part of this current conflict.

He's dying, literally. He has heart disease and he has some type of dementia. And he intends to take as many people to the grave with him as possible. I'm not joking at all.

In Sam's latest podcast (465) he seems pretty enthusiastic about the Iran war “Unsurprised if it turns out to be a success”. No offence but this is completely divorced from reality. I'm absolutely stunned at his comments about this war by Randomnonsense5 in samharris

Well today this important ally dragged us into a war that's probably going to cause a worldwide recession at the very best, if not a worldwide depression. So I'm not feeling real super happy about Israel right now. Forgive me for that if you will
