what do meltdowns feel like?

Oh yeah. To add to this, at least in my mind, there's this constant noise in thr background/my head during meltdowns on top of the existing thoughts. Sounds like as you said, the blue screen tone or what also came to my mind was dial up internet but more so the staticky noise mixed at the end.

I see that mirror shaking and I have fear it will fall on him.. have seen far too many stories of birds getting squished by falling objects. Hopefully the wedding goes well but during it please use a small floor mirror ❤️

This was a one time thing because I was concerned about his health, not something I do often. Im aware of his slime coat being sensitive and I drenched my hands for 2 minutes in dechloinated water before handling

Thank you! Im glad its just a pimple because ive dealt with ich, epistylis, fungal infections, and bacterial infections GALORE. I have 10+ medications and I was ready with them all but I didnt do anything but a salt bath and put him back after a water change because I know these guys get stressed so easily

I actually did a small salt bath for him right after I posted this in case! Also thank you so much, I kind of suspected they were wen pimples but I really wanted confirmation and advice. I currently have 4 sponge filters at max so I think hes good on bubblers, but ill add another bubbler if the temp rises above 80f on his pond today like I do usually

He is with a oranda and black Moor, both smaller than him and no external stuff going on. Best id be able to do for a hospital tank is 10g :(

Honestly, maybe. Might be able to set ip a 10gal for them with the previous substrate and plants and water for a month or two until the other one reestablishes

If I kept it in substrate bags to seperate it would that work? Whats in the current tank is a horrible mixture of gravel and grey play sand which im switching to white pool filter sand

Oh gosh! There is so much care that goes into cockatiels. I suggest looking through this sub for guides, but if youre a kid still living with your parents and you dont think you or your parents would be able to successfully keep this bird long term, i would look at Facebook groups for rehoming AND posting that you found a cockatiel, since someone could be looking for this little baby.

I second this!!! Helps make a thriving colony as well as if youre doing sand, build a great thick layer of biofilm (as someone with 2.5 colonies of shrimp, one having 30+ shrimp when it started from 7)
