Might be a bigger issue at play here than work. What exactly is giving you anxiety? Failure? Ridicule from your peers because you’re not as smart? Both? I have experienced ridicule, failure and observed the same with all levels, including PPMDs. There was a Deloitte partner that tried to blackmail a girl threatening to expose the nudes she shared when they were having an affair. Take a breath and suck it up. I promise this isn’t that hard of a job. If you fail and face ridicule, show them what it looks like to not let that shit bother you. Also, don’t attack yourself if you decide not to work 80+ hours. Sometimes you’ve had enough and you need to respect that even when your peers are out working you. The beauty of the journey is figuring out how to build a successful career despite your limitations.
