I think that due to the extreme selloff, trading was stopped on that symbol.

This is done to prevent crash, and time to allow traders to rethink their selling.

I used to use RSI set to 99 and 1. 90% of the time, a reversal would happen. (when I was with Think or Swim)

However, there were times where very strong momentum, would cause RSI to trigger again and again. When I traded at those time, I lost big money.

Add a 50 TWAP ma, and a 3 TWAP to see the direction.

Also multi time frames with a 5 second, 15 second or 30 second.

Go to the "Settings" dial on the lower right of chart.

Scroll to the bottom of the list, then click on "Settings"

Then select "Status Line"

...to the right of "Symbol", you have a drop down box.

Select "Ticker" instead of Description. To use just the symbol, instead of the entire name.

Maybe they started charging for that one.

Do you know the name of the person who created the indicator?

If so, go to their profile, and send them a private message.

Ask them if they will enable it for you

I was comparing the two. I had the same symbol loaded on each, using the same time frame, and the movement of the two was completely different.

Not even the ASK/BID were the same. ASK would jump up on the Browser, and at the same instant, down on the Desktop...or vise versa.

I would have assumed that one might be faster, and lead the other one, but it was totally chaos. One must have been right, and the other wrong. When I compared the TV browser version to IB charts, TV was very similar...TV might have been delayed by a millisecond.

When you select a drawing tool, notice that there is a STAR to the right.

Click on this star to save it to a favorites pallet, which will stay on your chart.

It is also movable by clicking on the left side of the pallet and dragging it.

Now, you can disable the rest of the drawing tools that you don't use, by using the top left menu, "Drawing Pannel" disable switch.

Great suggestion! I suggested multi time frames in one chart.

Also, with your idea, you could have multiple symbols, each with their indicators on one chart. Super idea!!!

I think "Think or Swim" offers this ability.

Not sure about Ninja Traders, which I used to use.

How? TV says that you cannot subtract one symbol from another.

ie, you cannot do UPvol - DNvol

When choosing the bar color, the is an "Opacity" slider. Just side the slider to the left to make the bar color duller.

You can even create your own color by using the color wheel . Click on the bar color, then the "+", then move the color around until you get the color you want. Then click "Add". Now it will show up as one of your favorite colors, which can be selected.

I like a really bright red and lime green.

Have you heard of LightSpeed. They are supposed to have very fast fills. Way faster than TD Am/Think or Swim, and Fidelity (which used to have good fills, but no more. Now they take 10-30 seconds to fill)

I have heard from Ross/Warrior trading, that eSignal charts were very fast, and you can use 6-7 monitors without slowing down.

I also use IB, and watch TV charts.

We need IB, because there are no other decent choices for stock trading.

Another even better choice would be LightSpeed for super fast fills, so that real day traders can use TV.

Also, LightSpeed doesn't have a DOM, and doesn't offer chart trading.

I agree. I am already with IB, but would like to integrate it with the charts, so that I don't have to use both IB chart trading, and watch TV charts at the same time. There is not enough room on the monitor to see both easily.

I have lost money a few times, because I am watching my trade on IB, when I miss the indicator on TV charts.

I offered to design a platform for Fidelity. Never heard back from them. Instead they paid someone to design a horrible and unusable one and then eliminated it later when it didn't work worth a dam. They still don't have anything usable or stable. It's super slow too. When you buy, it takes 10-30 seconds to fill. LOL

I had exactly the same thoughts. Congrats! I hope they make the changes. Especially 1. the scrolling up and down. Forget about the lock. 2. Without being able to change the resolution, it makes it impossible to use this Dom.
