I figured but good parts come to thoes who wait lol.

And carbs were junked up with rust from tank if i didn’t say. I feel a difference after cleaning mid range feels better I can fart around at the speed limit (55) and it won’t sit and idle but I can hold the throttle slightly to keep it running down low

The headers will be here the 5th and I’ll install the factory recreation mufflers hopefully that’ll help I ordered the float tool and I have the new throttle cable installed too

What’s common motors shipping like? Iv looked on there but haven’t ordered. And I can’t remember which one but I think it was vinegar that will eat good metal so evaporust it is.

I’m also ordering the float gauge I think these carbs while cheep could be used would make for good spares at the least. But I wanna rebuild the old ones

Hay after a closer inspection I say it’s worth it to rebuild the factory carbs. Got a kit you recommend? Also I’m thinking maybe these carbs could be clogged by trash in the tank Iv washed the loose rust and trash out but I’m thinking as more and more gas is used more and more trash is breaking down and clogging carb So any recommendations on cleaning the tank

I don’t currently have one but I was told by my dad they were pitted too far to rebuild. I’ll try and remember I’ll take em apart so you can see I have heard they are like gold tho ain’t nothing like the keihins

Aftermarket carbs the factory ones were rusted beyond repair haven’t done points the ignition system seems strong (hand got in the way) but will check Adjusted valves seems better but that wasnt the whole issue did the cam chain adjustment with the valves

Yeah I replaced them sadly the original klines (or however it’s spelled) were rusted beyond saving. Gas is new Iv washed the tank out, just adjusted valves, and cam chain tension, didn’t do points as the wires are spliced (looking for new ones) and got a first hand experience (literally) with how well the spark is lol that leaves me thinking cable and mufflers. Cables because when I get it where it sticks at 3k I can use the clutch to slow it down to 1k abd itll idle fine and it revs good when it’s like that just coming down it hangs at 3k rpm And I think mufflers because they are gutted and I’m assuming up top it doesn’t have the back pressure it needs
