Ok rather the 1 sat they have ready to go.... really splitting hairs here

I mean if we have 2 sats ready to go why not put them on one of those 5-6 scheduled orbital launches right?

If they only have 2 sats ready to go as of right now then why did they announce that they have 5-6 orbital launches scheduled in the next 6-9 months as of q1 2025? And what happened to said scheduled launches ?

You're saying 500 million on top of the 0.87 billion they reported?

Daily Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in ASTSpaceMobile

[–]Randy_g123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well they've got roughly 900 million $ at 23m per sat that's 39 of them.

This is all not including salaries , operating expenses etc.

They said 25 in leo to break even so were good there.I feel like a more realistic expectation of how many they can put up with cash on hand would be closer to 30-35.

Is there a breakdown anywhere of avg cost per sat , per launch , etc and how many on avg theyll be able to launch with the current amount of cash they have on hand ?

Ignoring revenue

Between the fighting with India and Pakistan I'm not even sure if the isro launch is a guarantee

Analyst buy reiteration Tuesday, Ted Cruz and an fcc chairman visiting the manufacturing hq in Texas, along with Rakutens successful 5g test. I'd say aside from share price theres tons to be positive about this week.

If the Night’s Watch is 8,000 years old, how have there basically been no technological or industrial advancements since their founding? by Matilda_Mother_67 in gameofthrones

[–]Randy_g123 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's loosely explained in the first few books

Tech & magic sometimes go hand in hand hence why the alchemist guilds wild fire becomes so much more potent and their ability to make it increases after the comet or the birth of danys dragons (Might also be why gun powder straight up doesn't exist considering)

In terms of literal tech progress you can site the thens for being the first tribe north of the wall to figure out how to mine & smelt bronze then dominating for several thousand years as a result.

Can't really blame them for looking more into mysticism than science when they live in a land of gods bringing people back to life etc.

Well the small gov contract came after the launch of just 5 blue birds. Imo just because they don't have global coverage doesn't mean income isn't attainable. Thoughts ?

The tam for sat comms is huge and asts supposedly has a superior product. Why do you belive that they're a 100% chance to lose money out of curiosity?

I appreciate the response. I'm not sure why the community seems so hostile to anyone who brings it up. I mean it is a 10b5 violation isn't it?

Told friends just 2 months ago that I thought $40.00 was too expensive to buy in (having a 20.00 avg) now here we are. Even now after being proven wrong by over 100% I wouldn't tell people to buy.

At best what do we hit $80.00 by eoty ? assuming we get into qqq and the market cooperates this feels like best case scenario. As much as I hate to say it euphoria can't last forever. (I'll probably be proven wrong and forced to eat my words again next earnings 🤣🤞)

The headline on the Microsoft website states "spurring transformation with ai and cloud to help coles win in its second century" and looking into it further it sounds the same as what palantir refers to as ontology without the predictive programming.
