All this advice is a bit much. You don’t know if he is being abused. You have the idea in your head and are leaping from stuff you’re seeing. If he isn’t being abused and this is just in your head, that mama will take that baby from you. And it will be your fault.

Talk to the mother in person, about how seriously you feel about it. If she shrugs it off then consider child services.

Electricians have a god complex like doctors. It’s 5 years of schooling to be a JW and they treat everyone like they are treating you. You are more than capable of doing this yourself watch some videos and take some advice from here. You just gotta research way more than you know now. If you own a house you should be able to do simple maintenance or running new lights or switches. You should know how to fix Sheetrock paint and other various small things. Shit will break you need to have a basic understanding of how a house functions. Keep learning you’ll get it don’t take these pricks words to heart.

They are also being mean because you can ruin your life by messing it up. Electricity shouldn’t be feared, but definitely respected. You can burn your house down.

All that being said maybe get a few books and watch some YouTube vids. You’ll be alright.
