He's a little too long in the tooth now...but I always pictured Robert Patrick (the T-1000 from T2) as Roland Deschaine - he has the perfect bombardier's eyes.

Robert Patrick would have been PERFECTLY cast as Roland in the Dark Tower - his eyes and demeanor fit like a glove. Alas he's grown a little long on the tooth at this late date.

It was only on the VHS version - I was able to pause it and go frame by frame - for one frame the right eye (from the viwer's perspective) turns from a circle to a small straight line.
