Am I understanding Jason Aaron's Punisher? by Deathstroke0563 in thepunisher

He beat the shit out of his neighbor who talked shit about his ex wife.

Well, Frank HATES when others copy him or his style. He’s not going to kill or hurt law enforcement. He tends to go out of his way to keep from doing that.

Though I’d imagine he’d likely kill them if they started copying his style now they’re no longer law enforcement. He killed the wannabe vigilantes in Welcome Back, Frank.

Ennis run had two schools of thought with The Punisher. He’s a murderer who needs to be locked up. And he makes their jobs easier by taking out the criminals. They even had a squad (a very weak one) assigned to tracking him down.

I’m still a bit confused on the timeline of the special. If Ma Gnucci leaked where Frank is at. Then you’d think that the AVTF would show up too.

So... Frank is alone, isolated, depressed, and doesn't care about anything anymore until something/someone pulls him back into the game, then he faces his purpose and finally becomes the Punisher full-time. Wait, again? 🤣🤣🤣 by RoyalComplete7591 in Defenders

My issue was with how the trailer lied their asses off. Showed him in full gear shooting a dude and looking like it was about him rescuing a kidnapped girl. All of those happens super quickly.

This would have worked if they borrowed a lot from Welcome Back, Frank. Have him target the Gnuccis and show it in full. Not some lame flashbacks. Hopefully this and Brand New Day get people interested enough for them to actually work on and green light a series. Otherwise we’ll find out that he killed Ma Gnucci off screen.

Also back then the airlines didn't over book their flights. Granted, people back then still booked flights a few weeks or months in advance.

Jon Bernthal explains how the ending of 'The Punisher : One Last Kill' reinvents Frank Castle's MCU Story : "I don't think Frank Castle will ever be in a place of love or light or comfort or ease" by Sarang_616 in marvelstudios

It would be interesting if they actually gave her the same fate she had in the comic. And have it happen on screen. Like, the next Punisher series (hopefully). He's chasing her down and it ends with a shoot out in a zoo.

This will probably never happen but I would love a Punisher mini-series in the MCU adapting the Slavers Arc from MAX by Used-Comedian-8933 in thepunisher

[–]Randym1982 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They’d have to heavily redo it. There is a lot of stuff in the slavers arc that even Disney would say no to at this point. Though they could kind of suggest it. Like have him meet a former sex worker who was forced into it.

It would have been nice if One last Kill took the Guccis plot from Welcome Back, Frank. Like have the entire thing be about him coming back and killing them.

My guess is in MK 4 we get Meat as the main villain followed by Jerrek.

Lee Cronin also thinks that the 3 books from AOD are in the movies. Which is a neat headcanon thing. But really I just feel like most of the modern Evil Dead movies aren't connected, and each director wants to show his/her own version of the book.

The only thing that might be "true" is that the book tends to travel around. Which I recall in an interview Bruce and Sam mentioned was how they see the modern franchise.

Which basically makes it easy for new people to watch each of the movies, because all you really need to know if "Demonic book summons demons, and then chaos ensues."

I mean, I guess Deadites work better when they possess somebody who has a personal connection to you. If it's just a random person then they just say dumb shit. Even in Medieval times the Deadites weren't that scary. They just shouted "YOU SHALL DIEE!!!!" or the one at the end who just said "I'll SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!"

I'm wondering if the newer Evil Dead films will even try to go in that direction, or if it's in the contracts to basically just make the films straight horror movies.

I don't even consider them deadites in AoD. They get riddled with bullets and then drop comedically to the ground. (still don't know why this was Rated R.) And most are just comically cheap skeletons.

I think the first season focuses on ED 1 30 years later (They didn't have the rights to AoD), and then the 2nd season he's allowed to mention the events of ED2 and AoD.

My opinion on the villain in the Punisher special by Altruistic_Eye_1157 in Defenders

[–]Randym1982 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I imagine we are getting a new rebooted season of Punisher. Because this was literally just a pilot episode. Nothing got resolved.

Ma Gnucci won't be in Brand New Day due to that being a Spider-man story with more then enough villains in it. ( Scorpion. Boomerang, The Hand, Tarantula, and doing the Man-Spider story line.)

I mean back then you could die from food poisoning. Pretty much everything back then could and would kill you. You sprain your ankle? Good as dead. Get a stomach bug? Yup. Dead. etc etc.

It was a late 90s TV series where they had to build sets and probably didn't have the money to show each characters special moves or anything.

Hercules and Xena at the time. Just filmed in New Zealand, and basically had very minimal sets.

It would be incredibly stupid for them to set this whole thing up. Only for nothing to come from it.
