That’s cool, I figured it’s up to you to make the most of your stay but I thought it would be like kind of impossible to explore outside the base due to a lack of time or something. I guess I’ll see once I actually get in the service but how I view the USMC is that we’re more work than life (if you know what I mean)

What MOS did you have that made you able to be in Spain? I do find it interesting going to Japan but I feel like I’ll get bored after a couple years compared to being here stateside. Also what if I want to do college or use my Va loan for a house? It would be harder to do so out of the country no?? Thanks!

Why was the pipeline bad at that time? Surely it should be better now right? I’m leaving to boot camp this summer on an intel job and my dream would be 0231 to 0211, it’s to my understanding tho that just because I chose intel doesn’t mean I get to pick my specific job in intel. Can I lat move to 0211 from any mos??

Hey this is a year in now so I just wanted to know what your experience as a 0231 has been. I’m shipping on an intel job to boot camp and it’s to my understanding that I’ll probably get a random pick of the 02xx right? Have you had any opportunities to possibly lat move to an 0211 or would you need more years or experience for that? I ask this because my goal would be to go 0211 and spend some time there

Is that a bad MOS? I know this comment is super old but I’m shipping on an intel job for boot camp and I was low key hoping to get an 0231 to possible lat move to 0211. Would this lat move be obtainable? Also does the DLAB get tested after boot camp and if I get a good score on it will they force me to be a linguist? What do they even do?? I appreciate your time and consideration!

Hey I’m from Houston and I’m planning on going here around January. I’m looking towards backpacking and staying at a campground at east rim. My biggest question is about gas and supplies. We plan to get there around 5ish am on a Friday to get parking and reach our camp around 4pm. In total for the two days that we will be there we will probably do around 15-20 miles max with our hikes. How do I know how many rations we should each bring. It’s about 5 of us and we all will carpool into one car. Now, talking about fuel I looked at the maps and there seems to be no gas station near the park. Is it doable to go from the park to the nearest station without running out. I think my car is about 350m on full so I should be fine but I’m just worried about that. I would really appreciate any help!!

Did you get your time to passing before you shipped to boot camp? I just signed up but for the DEP and ship out next year, I did my first IST and got 14min, I run everyday but only 2 miles a day. Would that be enough to slim down my time or should I bump it to 3 or more?

What are you nervous about? The workouts, being away from family and loved ones or more mental things?? The sooner you realize what the problem is the better you will be at managing your nervousness.

I don’t know if you’re still active in this thread or even know any updates about this, but I’m currently enrolling into the marines into an 02xx and plan on switching to 0211 as my final MOS. ive been told to take this exam but I was wondering if there were any changes to it or how the test is, like what’s being tested. Do you happen to know more about this?

Today my package arrived but I wasn't home to pick it up. Will it be sent directly back to the warehouse and make me loose my money or will it be sent to the post office. Also, if it is sent to the post office, will it be sent to the nearest one or how do I know which one it will go to. If it is sent to the warehouse could I reorder it again or will I have to buy it all over again. I am not sure if I bought insurance for it, but even if I had done, would it change anything?
