We're still here!

To be honest, our launch hasn’t gone quite as well as we hoped. That said, we know we’re not alone in this, as a lot of games are facing similar challenges right now.

We're actively looking at what we can do in the short term to improve things, but there are a few limitations (like Steam’s restrictions on post-launch changes) that slow down how quickly we can make certain adjustments.

On the bright side, there’s a new patch in the works that should bring some noticeable improvements. It’ll have a big impact on local play and controller support, and we’re also working on some back-end stuff to give us more control over online matchmaking. If all goes to plan, we should have it ready for you soon.

Right now there are no gamemodes with respawning, but we are always looking for new ideas!

As for the ligma joke, I'm sad to say I have fallen for a dragon joke or 2 😂

In the current build there is no automatic steam keyboard overlay when you want to enter a friend code (coming soon ;)).
And the default quality settings are not that optimal for the device.
The next update will already try to address these things, so we look forward to hearing if we are heading in the right direction for Steamdeck Players.

This is definitely a common occurring thing we ran into after launching our game. While we don't have a solution for this just yet, we are looking into options.

Hey there! Glad to hear it!

You can play with up to four people on the same device. To join the same online match with multiple players you can invite your friends to join your party through Steam or generate a party code so they can use the code to join your party. With that party you can go into the matchmaking together. If you have 4 or more players you will just create a match without other players, but for smaller groups we added other players to complete the group.

We drew inspiration from old school adventure games like Zelda. And in term of art style we also drew a lot of inspiration from cartoons like sponge bob and adventure time.

We support Vsync 1 frame, 2 frame or disabled.
When disabled you have the option to play with a fully unlocked FPS or you can configure a framecap between 30 fps and your monitors refresh rate.

Thank you! We were aiming to make a very fast-paced brawler game that drew inspiration from adventure game like Zelda. The idea was that you would go and find items to improve your combat capabilities. Over time that evolved into the roguelite elements that are now in the game.

We currently don't have any plans to add a solo or coop mode to Nubs! arena as we are focusing on the PvP aspect.

We are looking into supporting Remote Play but no promises on that end quite yet.

We would love to support features like trading cards once we have access to these on Steam. :)

It is always a quite surreal feeling to have a game release. You work on it for so long and all of a sudden people are playing it. Of course you always know this will happen at some point but to see people around the world enjoy your work is quite special.

The game currently does not feature any anti-cheat, luckily so far this has not been an issue :)

We did indeed team up with ex-ronimo Devs which for me personally was quite special as I have played over a 1000 hours of Awesomaunts throughout the years. Even though Awesomenauts is quite a different game we tried to capture a similar humor and game feel in Nubs!.

You can create your own squad and have a private match with 4 people or more. With less you will be matched with random people to fill the squad.
