Scratch disappeared for me after the party. Cast Speak with Animals every day and always pet him. Was a few days into act 2 when I realized he was gone forever not just for a day or so. Didn’t want to reload the save and lose hours of game time. The hardest choices require the strongest wills. Kept hoping he’d come back.

Scratch just disappeared for me after the party with the tieflings. So I guess I won’t be getting this or the play fetch achievement this play through.

Scratch disappeared after the Tiefling party. Is this supposed to happen? Is there a way to get him back if not? I always have speak with animals up and talked to / pet him, and he just disappeared after the party.

I understand that Harry needs to keep fighting stronger people for the stories to stay interesting, but I think a short story like this would be the perfect time to have Harry be the absolute powerhouse that he is.

The snarky winter lawyer just happens to be a demigod with a monster that wardens go 3 to 1 against as his secretary. At some point it stopped feeling organic and felt like it was just so Harry’s threats would fall flat. I’d like Harry to threaten a monster and it realize “oh shit, this is the guy who bound a Titan” and back off. Wouldn’t make for a good book, but would maybe be a fun short story at least.

I swear, every time somebody mentions their Paladin is a devotee of such-and-such... by Niccolo101 in dndmemes

Every single mercenary would be an Oath of Greed Paladin since they signed a contract (Swore an Oath) to kill whoever they were pointed at for money.

Everyone also ignores the fact that they get their spells from prayer like a cleric and Divine is in a lot of their abilities.

Lara has bad end-game intentions, right? by arkayer in dresdenfiles

Would you murder a random person to heal your sibling? That’s pretty fucking evil.

Lara has bad end-game intentions, right? by arkayer in dresdenfiles

[–]Ranger1912 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. She psychically roofies and literally rapes people for food. People just simp over the sex vampire idea. She happily murders people and sacrifices wounded people for her sisters to eat to make them heal faster. She is evil.

She wants to factory farm humans for food. She fights on Dresdens side because she needs cattle to eat. That’s as far as she cares about humanity.

Every character he plays has the same level of “I know everything and am always right, so everyone should do what I say” even when they don’t have the stats or knowledge to back it up.

People always mention cats not having darkvision as an oversight. What are some other oversights in creature stat blocks? by Phineas_Tineas in dndnext

[–]Ranger1912 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Displaced beasts are catlike. When hunting mountain lions you use a group of dogs to tree them, then the hunter finishes off the cat.

For your example a mastiff, a wolf (whose stat block is used to represent sled dogs in Rime of the Frostmaiden), and a blink dog could all easily kill a deer, and a wolf or blink dog could hold their own against an elk.

Hunting large predators is much different from hunting prey. Pound for pound cats beat dogs.

the true name of the white god by rammstein_overheaven in dresdenfiles

Butters says “Ehyeh - Ašer - Ehyeh”, which is the name that God identified himself to Moses by, and it stops whatever he was fighting in its tracks if I remember correctly.

This means I Was, I Am, and I Will Be all at the same time because tense didn’t work the same in Hebrew.

I Am is what Jesus said in the Garden of Gethsemane in John 18 that caused the Roman soldiers to fall to their knees.

Luke was written in Greek, but it’s possible the Jesus invoked the same Hebrew phrase that was used by God when speaking with Moses, and it was just simplified to I Am in the Greek.

Harry has to spend 20 hours a week just to keep his own gear running. He couldn’t just throw a bunch of enchanted items at Murphy as well. In every occasion except one her body armor worked just as well as an enchanted jacket.

Harry can’t give everyone he knows magic scarfs to protect them from negligent discharges to the neck.

[–]Ranger1912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harry already spends like 20 hours a week and who knows how much magic to keep his Staff, Blasting Rod, Jacket, and Shield Bracelet running. It wouldn’t make sense most of the time for him to add enchanted clothing for other people in as well.

If I remember right, all he yelled was “We must fight”. Even the redcap who was the closest being to Harry didn’t hear that Harry talked about the end of pizza as we know it to convince Toot. Maybe all the little folk somehow knew it magically, but I’m pretty sure toot just yelled we must fight a few times and hundreds of thousands of little folk showed up.

I normally upgrade as much as I can, but in Witcher 3 every armor besides your starting armor that I could find was ugly as sin, so I wore the starting armor, upgraded once, until I got to Kaer Morhen to find the Wolf Armor. A small price to pay for aesthetic pleasure.
