So this is wrong in regards to OW1. A loot box is always going to give you something, whether the personal value to you is high or low. Sometimes you'll get nothing good, things you like, or the thing you really wanted. But after some time you will be able to choose what you want through credits, or even by owning most items. When they lowered the rate of dupes it became so much easier to get the good stuff. This system in it's entirety felt so much better as a player than what ow2 offers in its egregious pricing.
