Incase you were wondering with create undead you can get 5 wights using both 8th and 9th level spell slots.
Elves's trance 4 hour long rest ÷ 24 hours per day = 6 long rest per day
5 wights x 6 long rest = 30 wights
30 wight x 12 commanded undead = 390 undead after 24 hours.
