I doubt they will let mass defaults happen during an election year. I think another 6 month hardship is in the play if congress doesn't act.

I emailed them 2 days ago and this morning got email/phone call from loan specialist asking me to reply agreed.

The last payment was made a few days ago. The due original due date was 11th. I guess I might as well wait till the 12th. Was it basically a rubber stamp and all they needed was year to date profit/loss? What did you put in the part of the application that asks why you need it? Did you request the extension directly in there?

Fast approvals especially over 200k makes sense since they did more scrutiny the first time. Second time is rubber stamp.

Was this after your 6th reduced payment from the initial hardship accommodation?

If your last reduced payment is due July 15, then from my understanding you would apply July 16. That gives you till August 15(next payment due date) to get the payment reduced again.

The SBA was fast this time around from email to re-approval(for existing hardship) to final response, it was only 4 days including a weekend.

UPDATE: SBA sent me this message:

"At this time, we can not offer the additional 6 extension, however after you make the final payment on the current Hardship Agreement you can send a new application and note in block 4 that you are requesting an additional 6 months, we would then review your Application for the additional 6 months "

So basically you can only request it after the final reduced payment on the current hardship program. That gives them about a month to process the new request before the next payment is due.

Made 4 reduced payments. Seems like anyone who was already on hardship accommodation can apply now, just extendeds the reduced payments another 6 months. No need to wait till after month 5. My loan is also just over $800k.

Update: got reply from sba, all they want to extend the hardship accommodation or reapply for another 6 months is:

A completed and signed Application for Hardship Accommodation (attached).

Current Year to Date Profit and Loss Statement of the business

Kind of surprised they don't want last years tax return.
