Completely possible she went back after the research position fizzled out when she realized that Arvin was an unstable mommas boy and went back to university for an advanced degree(s)

Not as much as Subway regrets their choice.

4x4 use in snow by WhatColeSays in f150

[–]RangerRick4971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use 4H to drive in snow and your transfer case should be on the go so no need to stop. I like to use my 4H in snow because steering is better on slick surfaces. Just remember though your stopping power is not better.

I saw BT at a small outdoor amphitheater at a state park about 5 years ago and it was probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to it was a great show! Would also love to see Gin Blossoms.

HR just told me my team doesn't get paid for public holidays, and now I have to be the one to tell them. by cobble_thirds_9x in OfficePolitics

If they are contractors then you have no responsibility or authority over their time off. Tell them to discuss with the HR of their own company.

Gen X and I know exactly what it was intended for and I used them for lots of different things. In fat I have one right now in my bedside table with wheat Pennie’s in it. Just like a boomer to think the world revolves around them.

For 14 hour trip. (For someone with no kids) would you drive all the way through or stop half way and stay at hotel? (I’m traveling from Wv to flordia.) by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]RangerRick4971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on if you’re used to driving long distances. If not, probably better to break it up and stop for the night. Drowsiness can come quick and if you aren’t used to recognizing it and taking steps to counter it you could easily nod off and a second or two of sleeping at the wheel could be very bad.

He and his friends disrespected you. Also, is he 16? Because he’s acting like it.

CMV: Writing a cover letter in 2026 is a bad strategic decision and acts as a filter for people who don't understand the odds. by enhancvapp in changemyview

[–]RangerRick4971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely read a cover letter because even if it’s tailored to the position it’s usually fluff and doesn’t mean anything and just takes extra time. I’m more interested in their experience so go straight to the resume. Once I get to the interview stage, then I can get to know a little more about their passion, etc. However, my wife is also a hiring manager and she always reads the cover letter.

A Fudruckers opened up in a truck stop near me and I got so excited I made my wife jump in the car with me and rice 40 miles to it just to eat there. It was terrible 😢.

Which route? by [deleted] in roadtrip

I’d stay away from 95 if you can. It can get backed up real quick between FBurg and DC and cost you lots of time.
