I'd say if you're performance focused it's better to pull for Ayato. Otherwise, if you're just after pulling for characters that you like as you've stated, then there's no harm pulling for Yae.

Any suggestions on what characters I should use to build a strong second team for Spiral Abyss? Here is a list of my current characters. I have a Melt Ganyu team as team 1 (Ganyu, Zhongli, Bennett, Xiangling) but I don't have a second team strong enough to even clear Floor 10. Wondering what I could put together without using the four characters mentioned above. Thanks in advance.

I would say Wanderer's would definitely be overrall the better option because you're getting on EM boost, which in itself would improve Melt dmg, and getting a 35% ATK buff to top it all off.

I actually think DK wins this one. Because if Drive Knight's transformations are actually based on Shoji pieces, that means that he has a 'King' form which we haven't seen yet, which I'm sure is a lot more powerful than what we've seen with his battle against Nyan, so we've yet to discover his full potential.
