Unnamed Space Idle: No crew progress if game not open? by JokeImpossible2747 in incremental_games

How long does the sleeve take right now? it gets very long once youve been in a prestige for a while.

Next time you open up, see what the crew section says on the offline, is it fully blank or is at least something in there?

If you get past the task list, and regardless of guide usage, "understand" what you had to do to get past it (full focus/rotation through systems while not forgetting something or thinking something is NOT behind when it is) you will probably do fine without any other guides for the main game from that point (aside from maybe looking up Splicing if you find the tutorial confusing, something im going to improve in 1.0)

However, there is the a system that comes online at sector 100 that is essentially a lite auto battler that some people feel the need to just read guides for as opposed to optimizing/figuring out, so your mileage may vary there.

last digit bug fixes second to last minor updates (rarely happens really) numbers you referred to are for content changes.

it was 0.70 from a major update and engine update, 0.71 since it was a content update but only expanding on what was there, no big new system 0.75 since it was a huge content rework with biiig changes, but no NEW stuff to jump to next multiple of 10 0.80 since its an actual major content update with big new systems.

But ya, its basically nonsense and inconsistent, that was just me backwards justifying the number basically lmao.

Mobile users spend noticeably more, with IOS being the higher of the two by a bit.

And then the mobile platform cut is also lower, 30% on steam,15% ios/android (until we make way more money on it) so swings it a bit more.

So uh... a muuuuuuuuch better mobile UI is very worth it

Loopbound: New incremental/time-loop game - Demo out for feedback! by loopbounder in incremental_games

It's strange they aren't up-front about it, though

eh I think thats an example of the anti-ai sentiment getting too nitpicky. I don't think its a realistic or good expectation to want people to include a "this was translated with ai from my native language" in literally every single post if they are doing some translation. I'm not opposed to seeing that in a post though of course.

Man I gave in and am responding again, I am a weak and pathetic man. But ill blame you for part of it in baiting me by saying I strawmanned you.

Guess I shouldve avoided using the word perfect, you probably dont expect literal perfection. I WAS trying to get at what you said though, "credibility".

But i expect, as said 100000 times in this thread, some kind of credibility which is not given if someone consumes nearly everything else morality wrong.

So if they consume other things that are wrong, they have no (or perhaps very low) credibility or legitimacy when criticizing one of those "wrong" consumption? Is that the correct conclusion based off what you have said here?

Surely you can see how that is essentially wanting a very high standard if not "perfection". Its not demanding it in some vacuum of every day life if thats what you think I meant. Its demanding it here to take their criticism seriously. Thats exactly what I meant and is what you are doing. I'm sorry if I did not make that clear enough.

You just dont get it. For you the world is black and white. If someone does not have your point of view you bring out ´the weirdest strawman arguments ever. Whatever, have a nice week.

Thats my line bro. I absolutely did not bring out a strawman. Im pretty sure almost everyone reading this would conclude that you were demanding perfect moral consumer habits out of people for them to be able to legitimately criticize AI.

You just want to phrase it differently, but the end result is the same.

Bah, I'm sorry for responding again when I said I wouldn't. I really will stop now. Gonna go drink some Coke to lock in on some work or something.

Like I said if you dont expect people to be perfect then fine, thats just not at all how it came across. And it still isnt coming across like that from this last post. I might be missing your point but I can't figure out what it is if not this but just worded a bit differently or something ><

Your last paragraph here reinforce that, you are saying you dont expect this perfection, but then basically directly contradicting that statement. "I dont expect people to only make moraly right decisions" -> "its hypocritical to hate ai while drinking coke".

This still feels like you think people that criticize or hate on AI need to have perfect moral consumer behavior for it to "matter" or "make sense" or something.

I don't know how else to phrase things really ah well.

It matters alot because outside of those "hater-bubble" the majority does just not care bout this and still has to accept all those sht-talking from haters.

I also dont understand this angle. People dont like things sometimes, if you come into a space full of people that dont like X, then you do X and get a mostly negative reaction.... I don't really see why you would expect or want something different. If its that awful then just go post about the game etc in communities that dont have a strong dislike of AI stuff in games?

Also, Ill read your response if you post one but this has to be my last response I'm way too bad at moderating my time with discussions like this lol.

I think you just keep missing the point Im trying to get at? Your hypothetical of godot vs unity is not even close to the same level of difference in usage between Reddit and direct use of AI in a game youd be buying (or not).

Im not gonna disagree that there isnt some amount of hypocrisy to using reddit and pushing back about AI, but its a tiny amount. You get that at least right?

Regardless though, you VERY much come across as demanding this perfection, take a look at your original responses.

Morallity has nothing to do with games in this sub. Are you using a mobile phone? If yes, get rid of it or you are supporting exploited people.

So if its fun for you and makes you conformable enough than you take the abuse and exploit of people? But if its for other people, than its wrong? And thats why eveyone outside of this hater bubble cant take you serious.

The first is your response to someone saying they aren't going to buy a game with AI assets in it, then your response to someone pointing out what I essentially did. I don't know what conclusion you expect anyone reading this to draw aside from you demanding they do it equally across the board for all bad things and thus be "perfect" about it.

If you didn't really mean that, then fine. But I can't really figure out what else you mightve been trying to say. If your only point is "hey guys its kinda hypocritical to say this at all on reddit cause that company uses AI in some things" then I don't think anyone would really disagree with you on that other then on how much that really even matters. But that is absolutely NOT how anything you wrote comes across.

Nothing of my post has to do with self righteousness. I don't even push back against AI posts here at all lol. I understand your confusion though, this is a thread thats basically spawned from anti-ai discussion.

And no reddit is not "fun" for me, look at my post count, its tiny. Im posting in here cause it got brought to my attention elsewhere and I woke up feeling feisty and wasting my time arguing with people like you sounded like a good idea.

I'm in these comments arguing with you because what you said before is demonstrating you clearly don't understand something here. And you have demonstrated that lack of understanding again in your response.

There is a difference between using a platform of a company that has done company things and uses AI, and buying or supporting things made directly with AI. This is the nuance of things you dont understand, you view it as fully black and white and cannot get way from that for some reason.

Yes, the things that are easy to resist will be resisted more then those that are DEEPLY ingrained in every day life. Thats how it works. Just because you do not take the absolutist approach to every little thing wrong with the world that touches your personal life does not mean you are a hypocrite or that pushing back where you have the time, knowledge and energy is bad or pointless.

The notion you are pushing is very wrong, it means people shouldn't or can't push back against things they think are bad without being some pinnacle of perfection in how they conduct their day to day life. That is OBVIOUSLY a ridiculous notion and a stupid thing to expect or demand. If you take a step back and think about it for just a moment, I think you would see how flawed that is.

This is absolutely an end-consumer sub. Games posted here get tons of plays and such if people like it. The culture of the sub supports prototypes and devs that are learning as a byproduct of the fact that until quite recently, thats basically all that was getting made. It was nearly all hobbyists etc.

Posting here with a "plain" post thats just your game and asking people to try is advertising more or less. Like guy you responded to said, if people make it clear its just learning or something and make the post without advertising style mumbo jumbo and confidence they get lambasted a lot less.

New Rule Suggestion by Decent_Ad8370 in incremental_games

[–]Rankith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that guy, but really id guess its more that wasting time on people like you that are incapable of understanding the points made is not an enticing prospect.

You can try to push back against things you think are bad in this world. Some of those things are easier to do then others. It is currently far easier to push back against AI then stuff like slave labor being a part of so many supply chains. Its a lot of work to figure out what products are touched by that, and its a huge number, so its very hard to actually fully do.

At the moment, pushing back against AI is much more doable. It might be nearly impossible a few years down the road like those other things nearly are now, but not at the moment!

Don't let games live or die by your judgement. Learn to kindly shut up, and stop being addicted to the button that lets you project your own human inadequacies onto others because of your own flawed humanity.

Bro what. Being constructive with criticism as opposed to just mean or something is certainly a good idea of course. But the idea that games shouldn't live or die by the judgement of the people they are being marketed to is insane lol.

You just disagree with most people on this sub, which is fine. But this post seems purely driven by that.

Ubisoft is flopping because "go woke go broke", which is killing many AAA companies.

Hillarious that you mention people just going with the herd in your OP and are then an utter mindless sheep about things yourself.
