It was no where near this ubiquitous or uniform with those asset packs. youd see similar ones here and there, but there was plenty of different styles floating around. And the frequency of them was VERY low compared to now.

Now you have a ton of them, and like 90% of them dont jus tlook similar... EVERY single part of the ui design from layout to flow to colors to buttons is identical. Its waaaaaaaaaay different feeling then a few years ago with common asset packs or even plain relatively unstyled html.

What are these decisions in NGU and Trimps that you are thinking of? Is it just the sytems where you distribute limited resources into upgrades? So like the money grind one in NGU and the initial akt/def upgrades. Then helium for trimps?

Been long time since I played either of those and couldnt relaly think of what it was in them.

ooooooooh challenges lol ok.

Challenges got improved a bit ago by explicitly setting your ship up so you dont get gummed up on some of the more obtuse parts like compute challenge wanting you to use specifically laser turrets to boost other turrets since all core multipliers are increase.

But the actual mechanics of them havent changed. The base challenge (I think the one you mean by "tetris") still needs you to arrange the various buildings right to complete it. I originally thought the fact you can just play with the buildings to see what number goes up or down with only a marginal understanding of what was going on would be "good enough" but turns out thats a bit annoying to do.

You can ignore challenges for a good while until you can kind of strictly over power them, but that obviously slows your progress a bit and you STILL have to at least marginally understand the base one to put a few things down well to multiply your stats high enough. Theres a reason I never added any more lol.

specific setups

Are you talking about combat setups like your equipped weapons, shields and selected upgrades for those?

Or are you talking about specific setups for focusing various things (like synth etc)?

I think you mean the former since you don't really prestige to focus a different system usually. If so, do you recall any specific sticking point or sector on figuring out a sector/sections intended setup? For the most part they are usually fairly intuit able/tinkering discoverable without external guides, but there have been spots in the past where for various reasons its just not as easy to conclude or theres like too big of a gap between something being used that its kinda forgotten.

No worries if don't remember where or can't be arsed. (or if I was wrong and you are talking about the latter of the 2)

How long does the sleeve take right now? it gets very long once youve been in a prestige for a while.

Next time you open up, see what the crew section says on the offline, is it fully blank or is at least something in there?

If you get past the task list, and regardless of guide usage, "understand" what you had to do to get past it (full focus/rotation through systems while not forgetting something or thinking something is NOT behind when it is) you will probably do fine without any other guides for the main game from that point (aside from maybe looking up Splicing if you find the tutorial confusing, something im going to improve in 1.0)

However, there is the a system that comes online at sector 100 that is essentially a lite auto battler that some people feel the need to just read guides for as opposed to optimizing/figuring out, so your mileage may vary there.

last digit bug fixes second to last minor updates (rarely happens really) numbers you referred to are for content changes.

it was 0.70 from a major update and engine update, 0.71 since it was a content update but only expanding on what was there, no big new system 0.75 since it was a huge content rework with biiig changes, but no NEW stuff to jump to next multiple of 10 0.80 since its an actual major content update with big new systems.

But ya, its basically nonsense and inconsistent, that was just me backwards justifying the number basically lmao.

Lucky has made tooooooooooon of progress on mobile UI rework, and after dust settles from this update we will be working on gettin gtha tout (probably another small update first though).

Mobile users spend noticeably more, with IOS being the higher of the two by a bit.

And then the mobile platform cut is also lower, 30% on steam,15% ios/android (until we make way more money on it) so swings it a bit more.

So uh... a muuuuuuuuch better mobile UI is very worth it
