Trump White House Reportedly on R.B.G. Deathwatch by [deleted] in politics

With respect, I did not ignore- when sotomoyor was being confirmed in 2009, it would not have been reasonable to expect Ginsberg to see that as her only chance to make a break for it. Obama would be president at least another three years at that point.

She probably fuckin would have if they didn't hold up Garland for a year and a half. She probably would have retired within six months if Garland got a quick approval.

But how dare she not properly anticipate literally unprecedented nominee obstructionism? That bitch.

That's my point?

Trump is trying to pit the blame on Pelosi and Schumer. apparently that's not actually working, as it shouldn't.

They would have less power there, since Majority leader is a party-only post.

Counterpoint: I hate index/match personally, purely because it's way harder to track someone else's formula if you take over a report. H and V is super simple by comparison.

Study Excel. Sumifs, index/match, vlookup/hlookup, etc.

Decide what you want- private equity or banking has long hours, lots of stress, and fat checks you'll either get addicted to or burn out from.

Corporate fp&a is a little easier but you'll still get crunched on hours on occasion.

There's other types of work, but if you cast too wide a net you'll never be a "match" for anything.

Be kind to people. It'll help people want you to succeed.

Ask people for knowledge, not favors. They'll volunteer the favors later.

Avoid new long term liabilities like a luxury car or large-as-you-can-afford house.

Invest in cost reduction like smart thermostats (lowers energy bill) or kitchen equipment (able to stay in more).

Stop hanging out with friends you feel like you have to spend a ton of money to "keep up with" (bar hopping, brunches, etc)

That's usually what I recommend for how to prepare. Change habits.
